I would deffinately put Quakers up there with the best 3p figures out there and while my Scoria seems better than a lot out there I'm just not feeling it, but MMC do seem very consistent with their quality so far.

I just did that, so have another well-deserved vote Steve, really crisp paint mate.

You can loosen the screws a quarter turn on the inside of the arms, that will make it easier.

I don't think it worked, but don't worry about it, I just really appreciate you took the time to try mate regardless :thumb
The funny thing is that on the day I finished it I was perusing FB as one does and the competition details were on my feed saying it ends in 6hrs.
I never planned to enter was just a coincidence so I thought why the hell not and chucked it in there!

    Haha, thanks mate.

Truly flattering words mate, thanks dude.

Thanks Roboto, I'm properly over whelmed by the responses to be honest.
Leader Starscreams a funny one, sometime I like him sometimes can't stand him, looking at your pic I like him again.
Very sorry to hear about your toy woes, I think recent events have made everyone stop and think about what and how much we spend our money on.

On a positive note ace pics as always, the one with Scoria and Grimlock looks so bloody good.

Damn you Napalm I now want that green thing because it has Tom G Warrior's face!

Masterforce UK: The Good, The Bad and The Ugly Review: Unique Toys' Maniaking (Galvatron)

TLDR: It's really good but does have minor flaws that stop it from being great.

Myherpes/Myhermes is about £7 or as someone else said, parcel2go are fairly good.

Totally agree with you but this is why I love it as the same old war on Earth thing was done to death. I didn't mind All Hail Megatron because it was more violent and gave us Decepticons who were evil rather than corny villains but I was happy to leave it there. As soon as RID recently went back to Earth it became dull as dishwater to me. Taking TFs out of the comfort zone made the whole thing fresh and different IMO.

Agreed. I didn't like how characters had almost become parodies of themselves but I can kinda accept it because it falls into the breath of fresh air analogy above.

Ah now the Kup Spotlight sheds a lot more light on Prowl. Without spoilers, Prowl doesn't revel in war but he's practical about it and borders on ruthlessness which fits in with his tactician role. RID fleshes him out better as not enjoying the war but being distrustful of the peace and thinking that his own brain with it's ability to plot out billions of probabilities gives him superior opinions to everyone else. If anything Prowl is all about peace but he's willing to do whatever it takes to achieve peace.

Rodimus kinda starts out as well meaning in the ongoing series but Swindle (of all people) fuels his arrogance and manipulates his ego. MTMTE kinda builds on the ongoing series developing Rodimus' ego so it's a big jump if you're reading MTMTE without the groundwork that went before it.

I think that was the plan. Kinda like X-Men being rebooted to appeal to the movie audience and then convert them to comic readers, MTMTE and RID seem to be designed to be more appealing to the more casual fan where it's easy to step into it. A mate of mine had no interest in reading the comics despite him buying a lot of toys but MTMTE and RID hooked him because they were so different. The familiarity is there with the characters but repurposing them and putting them in a new surrounding means that new readers don't need to know any history.

There are definitely animated influences in there and there are a lot of references to other continuities. It's definitely worth looking at the trivia section for each issue on TFwiki once you've caught up as there are a lot of very clever and subtle references which are easy to miss. This again is the big appeal of the series in that there's another layer to it.

Great to hear differing opinions; like I said the other day conversation and difference of opinion is an awesome thing :)

But for me, the two figures themselves are fantastic. It was an annoying thing for FP to do to those that didn't want or couldn't get them, but as a set - glorious!

PreTip to Self.... Dont go on eBay while listening to the score from the first TF movie!

Thank you for point this out. I dont get out much.... or go outside this thread, so I appreciate the heads up on the fine work being done by people here.

It was pure and cynical marketing, no question. There is no reason at all why the armour pieces were not included with Roadbuster aside from FP making you want the other two, which they then only sold as a double pack.

Well that was fun. I woke to my little girl complaining about a runny nose, only to get in there and see it's a nosebleed, and a rather big one. Blood was caked all over her face, all over her arms and all over her clothes and pillow.

Cue a bit of panic, but it's stopped now. I wanted to start my morning to start with an episode of Transformers Animated, but she's insisted on Powerpuff Girls instead.

Scary stuff kit... Nosebleeds are not fun :(

I spent some time with heavy noisy this morning. It's not bad to be honest. Besides the waist issue which I can live with, the only other complaint is the stressed plastic on the turret and the general cheapness of the plastic. Feels like it's gonna snap eveytime I mess with it. If those stress marks on the turret actual end up breaking, it will ruin the figure.

I've woken up before after having a nosebleed but anything like that can be pretty scary for a kid.

    That Starscream dude... wow. Glorious.

I'm really into Leader Jetfire. Yes he cheats, but he looks perfect to me. Love that masked face.
