I'd have to see the movie again to be sure, but from what I remember, the "defragmentation" happens when they transform. Meaning, they can't use it to go from robot mode here to robot mode there. They can only use it to go from robot to vehicle.

Every time the average person says "plot hole" I immediately go all Inigo Montoya in my head.

    Are you being serious?

What I'm saying is since the new human built TFormers can disintegrate, fly through the air and reintegrate into robot mode. Why the hell don't they just travel to the top of a building that way instead of climbing the building on hand and foot?

why don't they stay that way always?

if they can break themselves into squares why does getting their head pulled off kill them?

if they are all made of that metal why did they have green fluid? where does that go when they transform?

Which is an odd statement, considering the first movie has the least amount to do with the actual Transformers themselves than any of the other movies.

And also... if the Transformers are made of Transformium, and the AllSpark can regenerate Transformers, then it seems pretty cut and dry that the AllSpark creates Transformium. Given what was established in the first movie.

It's very baffling how so many people are so thrown off by the concept of "metal." All Transformium is is the metal that Transformers are made of. It's just a name assigned to that specific metal. You know, like iron. Or steel. Or copper. It's just a name.

if the Allspark can make it, then why did the aliens need to mine it as it were?

not sure people care about the metal being named, its more that each movie has its own set of rules.

Perhaps the Creators didn't have access to the AllSpark? Perhaps the Creators were mining the metal so they could build their own robots?

or it's that they need things explained to them.

going to have to assume those robots are the transformers.

otherwise that is a huge coincidence that the movie is throwing at us.

Sort of odd to say but what if that is the Twins in an evasion mode and they didn't meet up with Prime because of cowardice or not being on the same continent. I guess that would make it a cameo.
So, how many minutes in is Sentinel's head?

This doesn't qualify as a "plothole". It's exactly like saying the eagles not carrying Frodo to Mordor was a plothole. The Transformers may have had the ability to morph up the building, but they didn't. No hole in the plot there.

I think the movie was riddled with confusing plot points, but I don't think this particular issue was one.

It's probably thread-worthy, but I don't care enough to make it. The movie is a steaming pile of shit but very popular and successful. Sometimes these things happen. I can wait for the inevitable better quality reboot.

I got the feeling there was supposed to be a scene that explains this near when the Autobots rescue Prime from Lockdown's ship. Maybe additional dialogue when Lockdown is dragging OP to the maximum security prison vaults?

I didn't really catch it until maybe 3/4 of the way through, when the camera zoomed in from left-to-right towards Megatron's head.

Unlike Megatron's head which is suspended in an upright fashion, the remains of Sentinel's head is laying in a glass case on a table.
