I actually have to completely agree. After seeing the movie and much enjoying it, I have had immense fun interacting with the movie forum. I was thrilled to come home that night and find a very positive response from so many people and some great discussions and speculation. I pretty much just ignore threads where the first post is a variation of "AOE sucked because...". I don't try to change people's negative opinions; if they don't like Bay's franchise then it's not up to me to change their minds.

 

Because it was a Transformers movie. As we have seen, they can just make fart and pee jokes and still rake in ridiculous amounts of cash.

If it didn't have the Transformers name, it would have been a flop. As the second post said, still a shit movie.

Here's the problem with threads like these, if people constantly feel the need to defend and try to discredit the "haters" or "critics" then even if you like/love the film, - from the beginning- you're admitting that these people are right and the film is horribly flawed.

These threads only prove the haters and critics right. Good movies don't need to be defended with "In defense," "Theories for why critics," or "For all the haters" threads. So good job OP, two big thumbs up for giving all these people even more ammo.

Transformers is an "Event" movie, It doesn't make it a good movie.
In the end we all get a crap movie, and fight other while the producers go home rich, laughing "Got you Suckers!"

 

I really don't see how this is more ammo for the haters.

 

So let me get this straight someone doesn't agree that the movie is good; and all of a sudden they are labeled 'a hater'? Sorry to say but that's bullshit; the movie might have had good effects; but it had some bad scenes and a suck ass story line. I do not like the writer at all I did not like him on Transformers Prime and I do not like him on this.
But someone labeling others with that hater nonsense is childish not everyone is going to like the movie. I loved the first three movies; I just believe the writers can't even remember what was in the first three movies. As I said there were things in it I liked Hound, Drift and Grimlock; and my all time favorite which is Optimus but I think the tone of the movie was bad the dark tones. The same BS happened with the Pirates of the Caribbean movies the first one was awesome the second was okay and then all others sucked shit so badly it wasn't funny.

 

Ugh, no. You guys need to stop misinterpreting who is being labeled as a hater. A hater is someone who just constantly coming here to say it sucks every 5 minutes, no one should like this movie and you're stupid if you found this enjoyable. If you just didn't like it then you aren't a hater.
