My full thoughts.

Age Of Extinction 8.5/10:

Some issues, but nothing that has to ruin the experience. Felt like the best of the films to me.

 

Heart and Souls - 8/10
RDJr stars in this 1993 film. In 1959 four people are killed in a bus crash and are instantly bonded/tethered to a baby born in a near by car. For the first seven years they are the boys invisible friends. But when it causes the boy problems socially and parents want him tested, they choose to disappear from the boys life. They are still there, just invisible. Cut to 1993 where the boy is a young Robert Downy Jr. who is an investment banker. The souls learn they had a chance to make up for their life regrets and are now being taken to have their souls put in new lives. They are given limited time to make up for their last regret. One was a former thief and wants to make up for a stolen item, one misses her kids and needs help tracking them down, one wanted to be a singer so he needs to sing in front of a crowd, and the last needs to track down her last love. They reappear to RDjr and hilarity ensues.

 

Josie and the Pussycats;

i'm sorry to all those who disagree. wait nevermind i am not sorry. this film is great. i have fun watching it everytime i do. it's fun. it's filled with music. and comedy. i was always a fan of the cartoon, and even the josie in outerspace too. it's just a fun cast of characters.

it isn't perfect by any means. but i still find enjoyment out of this, even 13 years after i first saw it.

Transformers Age of Extinction. 10/10 it was awesome and even my fiancee got into it and he isn't even a tf fan

 

Ah, my first dvd. LOVE Rachel Lee Cook as Josie, and a then still-hot Tara Reid. Such a fun movie though, wish they would have made another.

 

Just watched it again, so I've re-rated it:

Transformers: Age of Extinction:   / 10

 

The Phantom Menace - All of this Star Wars talk has put me in the mood to rewatch the movies. Unfortunately, The Phantom Menace leaves a lot to be desired. The visuals, sound, and fight choreography are great, but once you move past them, this movie has very little substance. In fact, the movie moves so fast from one scene to the next there is no time to even enjoy the visuals. The characters are so dull and lifeless that the movie is just boring, and that is probably this movie's biggest issue. Jar Jar is beyond annoying, Anakin is a little brat you just want to spank, Padme is one dimensional, while Obiwan is just there because he needs to be in order to connect this movie with the original trilogy. Quigon is the only character that really does any thing at all, but he is just there to set up Obiwan. The sound editing in the pod race is down right incredible and the battle against Maul is fantastic. Unfortunately, Maul served absolutely no purpose. He has no character arc or anything other than to kill Quigon and then die himself. Come to think of it, aside from being boring, this movie has nothing to it. It is just made so they can make the next one instead of being able to hold its own without its sequels being there to pick up its slack. This movie sucks and I give it a 4/10.

 

Spaceballs 10/10 a shining example of what parodies should be it's obvious what they're parodying and yet it's an original set of characters not only that but it's clear a lot of effort went into it unlike a lot of parodies which feel like making things look cheap on purpose is funny. I loved the Transformer in it I did not expect that! Pizza the Hut was funny for the short time he appears, I loved Yogurt's accent, Lord Helmet is such a great, funny character I also love the breaking the fourth wall it was funny as it always came at a point where you didn't think the film could get more ridiculous. Best Star Wars Parody ever.

 

Safe House (2012) - 6.5/10

It lost a point because Reynolds' character does the dumbest thing possible at one point. But otherwise, solid movie.

 

idk i think it is just fine as a standalone movie.

 

Jurassic Park 3 - 6/10

This alternates between bad and good, but it never really becomes unwatchable. It's a lot like the 2nd. It's worth a watch.

 

1941 - 8/10
Been a while since i saw this Spielberg comedy. Man is it outlandish but fun. Japanese sub tries to attack California. Comedy ensues.

 

Transformers: Age of Extinction 1/10

Story and plot sucked and was a mess, Autobot designs and faces were crappy, humans were ridiculous, dialogue was terrible, length of movie dragged, etc.

 

I assume that is a typo. Nobody would give such a low score without stating what the problem was.
