My work is a 5 minute walk from my apartment, I can see right now I don't drive, so I moved close to work for convenience. I'm also a 5 minute walk from walmart, two grocery stores, my bank, dollarama, tons of resteraunts, all within a 1 kilometer radius of my building. I love it
I clean my family's church about once a week as a part-time job, and it is literally a five minute walk from my apartment building.
About 10 minutes from door to time clock. Would be 5 if not for winding back roads usually in the dark.
2 and a half blocks or about a fifteen minute walk... would be longer, but I take a shortcut in between the neighborhood and the Nursing School.
You're kidding me. The average adult walking speed is 3mph, so either you've seriously overestimated the distance or you must be doing a pretty lively jog to work every morning.
I've decided to not go for a local job because getting there is like playing frogger with my life. Its maybe 5 minutes away, but there is one road that is so busy, if I had to cross it as a pedestrian regularly, I expect to be hit at some point. Minimum wage ain't worth that.
