My work is a 5 minute walk from my apartment, I can see right now :p

I don't drive, so I moved close to work for convenience. I'm also a 5 minute walk from walmart, two grocery stores, my bank, dollarama, tons of resteraunts, all within a 1 kilometer radius of my building. I love it :D

I clean my family's church about once a week as a part-time job, and it is literally a five minute walk from my apartment building.

About 10 minutes from door to time clock. Would be 5 if not for winding back roads usually in the dark.

I live about 10 minutes, or so from work, when I take the back roads.

2 and a half blocks or about a fifteen minute walk... would be longer, but I take a shortcut in between the neighborhood and the Nursing School.

    Not close enough.

Then again, I have to drive 25 minutes to reach a McDonalds.

You're kidding me. The average adult walking speed is 3mph, so either you've seriously overestimated the distance or you must be doing a pretty lively jog to work every morning.

I've decided to not go for a local job because getting there is like playing frogger with my life. Its maybe 5 minutes away, but there is one road that is so busy, if I had to cross it as a pedestrian regularly, I expect to be hit at some point. Minimum wage ain't worth that.
