Hound- John Goodman should have been in the series from the start.
Lockdown - best villian by far
Marky Mark and human cast - you can tell the change in the acting was better in this movie than the first 3
Optimus going Beast Mode on the KSI building - enough said.
Bumblebee first meeting Stinger in KSI building - everyone was laughing in the theater
The comedy - Almost all cheesy comedy was gone and what was there was true laughable (Lucas)

My favorite part (because I'm a Jurassic Park nerd) is that they were scientfically accurate with the size of the dinobots to each other... mainly how Scorn (Spinosaurus) was a lot larger than Grimlock (T Rex).

Just have to ask, how were those transformations lazy? Instead of having something turn into something else, they had it break down into millions of individually animated, tiny cubes and reform into a car or robot.

I just realized that this movie was a mix of the '86 movie and animated, here are some examples.
    '86 movie
    - triple changer car and helicopter that uses a sword in robot mode
    - Galvatron
    - dinobots
    - all new autobots
    - ratchet dies in a way that involves his chest
    - quintessons (most likely)
    Animated
    - bumblebee vs wasp=bumblebee vs stinger
    - lockdown
    - megatron's head uses humans to build a new body (love brains' line "that red beady eye")
    - drift=prowl
    - bulkhead=hound
    - overprotective dad (overprotective in different ways but still)

For me, the highlight of the movie was when Optimus scanned his new truck form. You wouldn't believe the applause that scene got from the people in my theater.

In order to transform they have to individually animate the pieces and parts of cars in order to transform into a robot and make it look like a believeable transformation. The reason its lazy is because its a big cloud of white cubes that form something else. Which one sounds easier/lazier to animate?

This movie is disgustingly/ disturbingly underrated and the hate it's getting is about as intolerable as Shia Labeouf yelling into a microphone at your face. Grant it, I did have some issues with it, but nonetheless: Best fucking TF movie ever.

    Pros:
    -Megatron's back! Fuck yeah!
-Optimus is more believable than he's ever been before (the way he reacted to Ratchet's death was the kind of reaction to fallen comrades I have been looking for in him) and the fact that he finaly snapped is something that everyone should see as understandable
-Ratchet's Death; I saw it coming, but it pained me heavily to actually see it
    -Everything Lockdown
    -Humans are REALLY likeable
-The autobots are treated like actual characters and they stole each scene.
    - Dinobots were badass and introduced a new concept which I hope appears in the sequels
-Runtime (the longer the better for me)
    -Galvatron didn't die
-Lucas died. I wasn't annoyed by him, but the ass did have it coming to him
    -Brains is back!
    -Leadfoot's brief (unfortunate) cameo.
-Not sure if it was actually him or not, but Shockwave briefly returning as a two headed monstrosity was pretty kick ass.
    Cons
-At times, I had a hard time understanding what some characters said
    - I wish the dinobots spoke
    - I wish the dinobot/ autobot confrontation would've lasted longer
-I love Megatron's return, but it felt like a seperate story line that never fully took off (which is at this point obviously a set up for a sequel) and that could've been handled better
-"transformium". ew, but then again, it's not the first shitty name for an element
    - I was disapointed upon not finding out that there was no credits/ post credits scene that people claimed they saw -_-

That said, the good outweighed the bad tremendously. Might just watch it again tomorrow.

The best part of this film has to be Optimus Prime. He's so BA in this film.

Lockdown was badass, his theme was sinister.

Good to see Optimus in a different light.

Attinger and Joshua were awesome additions to the human cast.

Tessa was better than April O Neil.

Agreed fully. This grittier take on Optimus is more realistic and, in some ways, more noble (it's also refreshing and unique as all hell). It really displays that even heroes aren't entirely perfect. Besides, Prime was pushed to his limit in this movie. When he first came back online, his paranoia, appearance, and pathetic-sounding voice all made me feel for him.

anytime lockdown was on screen was awesome. best movie villain by far. wish he wouldn't have been killed.

crosshairs was awesome. the parachute scene had me grinning so hard.

hound didn't shut up the whole time and it was great.

oh and when drift first goes into his helicopter mode. i wasn't aware that he was a triple changer. i wish we could have seen more of that and of him in general. i wasn't expecting to like his character much but i really did.

i enjoyed the movie but Lucas was annoying as hell.

when he died, i heard the gasps of the audience as they were shocked that the comic relief was killed. i tried really hard not to bust out laughing.

No, it's actually not. The opposite is true. If someone takes another's review and makes a decision to not watch it based on someone else's negative opinion, when prior they were excited about the movie...that is likened more to the zombie effect to which you are referring.

One thing that I was disappointed with that doesn't really take away from the film was that I wish Drift Crosshairs and the Dinobots would have gotten into a huge brawl with some remaining vehicons on the bridge. I understood they had to hold the line but I wish we could have gotten some sort of epic bridge fight.

Also the Autobots potentially threatening to fight each other was something new we hadn't seen in the previous movies.

And oh yes Crosshairs wanting to be in charge was one of the funniest lines in the movie :D

Reading everyone's posts about their favorite moments makes me realize why this is my favorite Transformer film so far. Here are some reasons why.
    1. No Sam or Mekelia. Although I like SAMs character in the first movie
    2. Optimus Prime's plot line with the human characters.
    3. Bumblebee having a smaller role, making me appreciate the scenes he was in more
    4. Better written villains in Atinger, and Lockdown
    5. Lockdown-Bay really nailed his character. I have to give some major Kudos. Just the best villain so far
    6. Galvatron, and having Welker voice him
    7. The character development and scenes with Hound, Drift, and Crosshairs
    8. The comedy was done well
    9. Big freaking Dinobots!!!

Sure, it's not perfect. There was a little dragging of the plot with Cade's daughter and boyfriend. But, it was a really fun movie experience. I'm probably going to watch it again.
