Why is that Prime/al wearing tribbles?

I'll probably buy this because it looks cool and PE has proved they make superior Robots I'm going to want. No other justification is needed. And I would buy Cybertonian BW characters just because...........

Apart from all the other reasons given a lot of the original Beast Wars toys I consider essential are so good there isn't any reason for 3Ps to top them. All I'm really missing is a good-sized Dinobot now and the Team I care about will be complete.

The original design was straight-up Don Fig's Leo Convoy. The new design, not so much.

TM Megatron. If only because I'd love one that isn't dead from GPS. And whose tail can mount properly the way it did in the show in robot mode.

The new design is a huge pass for me, but if they had stayed with Don's design then it would have been an instant buy for me.

Perfect Effect is doing big things in multiple areas of the TF Universe this year. This is crazy.

right down to the caps on the joints! you are definitely not alone.

I am rather pleased with what I am seeing, overall. as long as it looks awesome, I am not bothered whether it looks organic or not.

silly guy, he's not wearing tribbles.. he's obviously taken the black!
while Primal guards the wall, I agree we need a proper large and awesome Dinobot.

Do I want organic beast modes? Hell yes. Metal animals are just stupid. I thought so as a kid, and still do. Season 1 is still my favorite. No one ever complains about Terminators, why should they about Transformers?

Are metal beast modes inferior? Yes. Will I still buy them? Yes. Why? Because they are BEAST WARS CHARTERS.

I am NOT happy about the design change. From what I can see he now looks boring and ill-proportioned. The TF/Zoid/Don design was much, much better.

I agree. Did not care for Beast Machines in concept. :p

But robots inside flesh and blood? I can get behind that. Sounds like Pretenders and... other things.

Seriously though. I don't understand the point of animal robots. I don't even get the point of humanoid robots. Beast Wars had the best explanation for beast modes ever.

I can't take anything you say seriously anymore, you're just a G1 hater basing your argument(s) on emotion rather than logic!

Keep on crying about how you're not getting any beast wars third party figures and basking in your G1 hatred while I go and enjoy all my masterpieces and lots of G1 third party goodies while you enjoy your once a year Hasbro classics figures. :D

    I don't hate G1.

I just have absolutely no nostalgia for it at all. I saw it for the first time as an adult.

I saw Beast Wars as a kid.

I don't think it's too much to say the emotions you all feel for G1 are mirrored for Beast Wars.

And understanding those strong emotions, I can logically see how BW will never get a fair chance, when the majority of fans do have those emotions for G1, and not BW.

So I don't think wishing to level that playing field, to see what Beast Wars could do on its own WITHOUT the juggernaut of G1 looming over it, is hating G1. If anything it's a thought experiment (admittedly worded badly.)

So no, I don't hate G1. I am quite simply apathetic towards it. Which is why I don't collect Masterpiece figures. They mean nothing to me.

Which is also why I am in a 3rd party forum discussing a Beast Wars character.

    Any further questions?

You chide someone for supposedly being emotional, then go on to taunt them in the most childish manner possible. What was that about being taken seriously?

Personally, I prefer cybertronian animals alt. modes to the organic ones because I just plain enjoy robots/mecha: Especially anime-influenced ones.

But, I've also noticed that it seems to translate better to toys. The "dimpled-surface" plastic used to emulate hair on a lot of BW organic-styled figures just rubs me wrong and leaves a lot of authenticity out of the show-to-toy translation.

So personally, I'm glad that they went with this aesthetic vs. show-accuracy for their Beast interpretations, but at the same time it would have been cool to see what they could have come up with for show-accurate versions too. I have Lio and Mammoth (Multiple versions of both, even), and it'd be cool to see PE's take on those particular styles too.
