Oy vey, DOTM was the pinnacle of this franchise. For a nine hour movie really only about 30 minutes was worth it. The dialog was top notch in some spots :)  Can't wait to see it again with much lower expectations.

Just saw it. I was surprised, I liked it better than the second and third, not as good as the first. Would have been cool if Grimlock spoke just once, though Galvatron's voice was good.

I would need to take a $350 round trip plane ride for a day to see this movie. But judging from early reviews, I'll probley just wait till it pops up online.

    Hooo boy.

    That was bad.

Like, really bad. Robots were unlikable, plot was a mess and barely intelligible, too loud, and the humans were freaking atrocious. I think I should have stopped at three.

Not everyone's cup of tea. I respect your opinion. But please respect those on here who did like the film (like me) by not being an airhead like Crosshairs. Lol

    How were the robots unlikable?

    Just got back...
    I liked it a lot.
Without a doubt, it's my favorite of the Bayformers flicks. Although it's still mindless action scenes stacked between random shots of sunsets and booty shorts, it was waaaay better than the first three. Maybe I just hate Shia Laboeuf, or maybe I've just lowered my standards... But damn, this was a fun movie!
    They addressed my major concerns:
    Giving the Bots more dialogue
Being able to distinguish characters from one another
Fixed many pacing issues (less awkward stops, bad jokes, etc)
Human characters that are likeable (still shallow and aimless, but it's a start!)

The story on the whole did not feel forced. It was the most believable scenario we've seen from the Bayverse, yet the most "comical" as well. Every frame was lush with rich color, every shot angled like a roller coaster. The sound was dynamic and LOUD, yet focused and clear.

Did it have its issues? Of course.
Is it basically another Michael Bay movie? Of course.
And although I kind of expected this... Some fans will be disappointed with the treatment of the Dinobots. Not me.
We got Frank Welker, lots of Lockdown, and tons of transforming.
    This movie kinda ruled.

I love transformers, honest. But I love good movies too.

I was hoping this might be a return to the form of the first film that we almost universally agree is the best one... or at least that the Dinobots could save it if it was that bad.

It's worse. It's like being waterboarded by a movie.

I appreciate that the films keep Hasbro and Transformers in the public consciousness, and that means a lot to me as a fan of the entire franchise.

But as a movie fan, these things just continue to become even more bloated and inane then before.

I loved the first one, even with its obvious flaws. I was in the second, so it has a warm spot in my heart, and I thought it was still mostly goofy fun. The third suddenly became self serious, bloated, and was overkill. This thing was just an abomination.

Before you attack me because you liked it, I'm glad if it brought you enjoyment, seriously. But personally, I can't wait til the property moves to better hands.

Crosshairs and Drift were very unlikeable. They had their moments, and those moments were very, VERY minor where I wasn't annoyed they were on screen, but overall I would have rather seen Sideswipe and Not Mirage stick around.

Hound was nice to see, but his shtick got tired towards the end. Almost everything he said was a forced one-liner.

I think it's the best of the series. It was a simple, straight forward plot that didn't cause as many headaches as the previous. Significantly more robot dialog. No frenetic bay camera shots.

Fair enough, I haven't seen the movie so I can't say anything yet.

I will say this, Crosshairs had one of the funnier lines in the movie. Drift had a one that made me chuckle, but I just couldn't get into those two at all.

At least there is some dialogue I can look forward too, thanks for your input. I assume those just weren't your type of characters. Though, I agree with your previous comment regarding Sideswipe, he would of been a fun character if he stuck around (hoping he'll return for TF5).

What was the best robot fight scene?
