I really think I'm going to skip it. There's no way I can sit through basically another ROTF. What a disaster.

 

RT rating doesn't defines whether a film is good or bad.

 

In the movie's defense, I feel fairly confident in saying it's better than ROTF regardless of the RT score.

It gives something to go off of if someone is on the fence.

 

I think some of these critics need to rewatch RotF.
There is no way another TF movie can actually be worse than that one.

If people want to go a movie based on a reviewer that have the same taste, then they should. I don't think looking at RT score as a whole, gives a good picture whether you will be satisfied.

 

IKR? If I go to this movie and it ends up being my favorite of the live action franchise...I'm never going to Rotten Tomatoes again, lol.

 

To be fair...That kind of sums up the whole transformers franchise since day one.

 

I've read spoilers for this film and it sounds amazing! A lot more better than ROTF!

 

Ouch what a disaster. Could conceivably drop below ROTF, but I seriously doubt it is that bad. Just the quality of movies has gone up compared to that summer I imagine.

ROTF was never going to be a good movie, but on top of that there was production issues. The movie was literally the deffinition of "disjointed." It would be really damn impressively sad if AOE somehow managed to be not only just narratively worse, but technically worse than ROTF.

Basically. That's what any review is: a second opinion. Keyword is second. Reviewers and readers of said reviews make the mistake of believing they are an absolute. Ultimately you decide if you want to see or like a movie you've seen.

This also reminds me of people who say "how can you judge a movie if you've never seen it?" When someone says they don't like a movie they haven't seen. Of course, you can't, but you shouldn't be expected to have to have seen an entire movie to know you don't want to. But if you want to see it, see it and make up your own mind. Reviews are recommendations to do or to not do, not gospel. Like TASM2. I don't need to have seen it to know I don't want to, but that doesn't mean I have to see it to someone "legitimize" that sentiment. Now if I decided to go on a tirade and talk shit about TASM2 without having seen it, that's kind of bullshit, but people are allowed to not be interested in a movie they haven't seen.

Please, link me to what you've read, unless it what's been posted here in the forum, because I've read all that. From the shoddy acting to the convoluted plot and obnoxious run time, it doesn't sound particularly good, but the CGI and action makes it sound fun.
