I know, I've seen it! I've called him out too, it's a shit review! All this bayhating is getting out of hand, now people review him and the cast....not the actual movie.

 

Are we acting like the cast isn't part of the actual movie? Seriously?

I think he means more like who they chose for the cast, not how their performance went.

 

This guy is a face whore. This means that he is more concerned with marketing himself instead of making a movie review that is actually worth a damn or entertaining. Here's an AoE review that I like of the few that are currently out there:

You people are funny... You think that that's a rant on Michael Bay? There's no deep tissue analysis of why Michael Bay's style is patently wrong for storytelling and why it fails on basic levels of narrative construction... It's just him saying "The movie is dogshit... Some might get a kick out of it." and making some jokes along the way.

I used to like Jahns... But he really is just invested in the most surface level stuff. He never bothers to explain WHY something works or fails. He just says it's cool or it sucks and that's it.

 

Why do we even bother watching these things? Everyone has different tastes, The only way you will know for sure if it's a good movie or not is to watch it yourself. I've never watched a movie in theaters because a critic said so. All the movies I've watched, I watched because I wanted to. Not because someone said it was a good movie. If you feel on the side about going to see the movie, then go see a different one.

It's honestly not. It's more on-par with the first, if not a bit better at least.

 

That review doesn't even sync up to his other negative reviews. That was just a huge rant, not something I generally associate with him. He has moments, but wow, he didn't even stop to breathe hardly.

Considering RotF is what started his ball rolling, I doubt his ability to enjoy one of these films on any level at this point. Even with the less disturbing review of DotM he posted, he just brings a lot of hate along for the ride.

 

I agree with Jahns usually BUT This is just a rant on Michael Bay being Michael Bay. Talk about something else other then the director using to many explosions in an ACTION MOVIE! ugh

I usually agree with him, but there's no way in hell he gives this a much lower rating than DOTM. He's on his cycle or some shit. There's no way this is worse than the last film. There's no way.

 

I know it just doesnt make sense at ALL, if age of extinction is so bad then why do its shittier counter parts(besides tf1) have better reviews?
