Is there any explaination for where Sam or the other members of NEST are? Or are they just swept off-screen with not even a peep?

From a leaked scene, Galvatron reminds me of the Smelter Demon from Dark Souls 2. Using the hole in his cheat to burn a sword.

A couple of quick questions for those that have seen the movie:

    - Is there any inclination of a renewal of bonds between the Autobots and humanity in general by the end of the film?

    - Is Bumblebee still immature or is he a little more somber and grim in this film?

    Cheers!

Just got back from seeing the movie and I enjoyed it thoroughly. Definitely better than ROTF and DOTM, but still have a soft spot for the first.

People have already said a ton, so there's little I can add, but I have to say. However...

    - Very tight writing this time round. All the human characters play important roles and they weaved them together well.

    - Extremely serious tone that was built up from the get go with a dilapidated Prime, Ratchet's execution and the death of a comedy side-character.

    - The villain was legitimately threatening and all the robots got so much more screen time and characterization.

    - With proper characterization and build-up, we actually cared for the characters and were able to get invested in the fights.

    - I loved that there was little to no potty-humor in this one.

    - The main cast was a father and daughter, so the romance was pushed to the sidelines. After the first three, that's a welcomed relief.

    - Loved the reference to the "exotic milk" drunk by Wang in DOTM. (^.^)

    - The megatron head thing is pretty much straight from Animated.

    - We didn't get to see Drift and Crosshairs actually transform! That really irked me.

    - They delved deeper into the Transformers mythos and hint of a larger backstory that I'm really excited for.

    - It has become physically impossible to make accurate toys of the robots.

    There's a lot more dialogue. I should've picked a better line.
He begs and says that he's on their side, an Autobot, their friend, and why are they doing this. All the while hopping on one leg.

Not to mention, unlike Q, we actually know him well, making it even more emotional.

It is a completely different scenario. You cannot compare the two.

I would say that this ties for best film of the franchise as the first. Although subsequent re-watches may push it to the #1 spot. It's not perfect, but was probably the first time it's really felt like a Transformers film, given the amount of robot screentime, characterisation, and lack of really crappy human characters (Tucci, Whalberg and Grammar were excellent in their roles).
