Can someone clarify what happens to Harold Attinger. I've heard some reports saying that Prime kills him - but nothing concrete. What happens to him?

If you are being tortured by people who want information - if you tell that information you're dead... so why would he even if tortured?

He's about to shoot Cade, Prime sees it and shoots at his direction to stop him but he's killed by the effect of that shot.

Ah ok - I suppose the 'accidental kill' is better than the straight-up murder that I thought it would be.

 

I don't think it was an accident, really. Optimus earlier in the movie declared that he would break his vow of never killing a human to get revenge for Ratchet and Attinger was not only behind it but also about to kill Cade.

 

So a question for all of those who have seen it... is there any mention of what happened to previous bots at all? (Sideswipe, Dino, etc ?) I guess they didn't.

 

No mention, although its implied that Optimus, Bumblebee, Brains, Drift, Crosshairs and Hound are all that's left living. Ratchet and Leadfoot are seen being killed.

Alright to everyone who's seen the movie, who do you think would win in a fight: Hound or Ironhide?

 

Okay, its judgement day. Just saw it and here are my scatterbrained thoughts. Spoilers of course.

-The Autobots were an actual team in this, it wasn't just BB and OP in the spotlight .Lots of fun interaction between them all. The scene where they meet up for the first time got me hyped as.
Crosshairs was miserable and sardonic, Drift was cool as hell, Hound loveable and a badass. People have said Crosshairs is a dick but he reminded me of Baird.
- Ohyeah, the Autobots? Yeah, they don't get along at all. Created a really interesting dynamic that I hope we see more of in future movies. They're literally at each others throats when they first meet up.
-That scene at the docs was well executed and a good send off for Ratchet. Poor fella,you really felt for him being betrayed and confused about it. "Wait, wait, I'm your friend!"
-The movie suffered from being way too long and bloated. I definitely felt it, a fair bit of padding stopped the momentum the movie built up nicely in the first act. Someone really needs to reign it in for the next movie. There is such thing as too much of a good thing.
-Lockdown was a pretty cool villain. Voice wasn't as heavily filtered as in the tv spot. Another highlight would be the whole segment on his ship. The scene where he captures Optimus was another.
-The ending was much better than ROTF and DOTM. Be interesting to see where the characters go from here.
-Rainbowdash has a cameo   theres also a two headed Shockwave drone/clone.
-Felt like the overprotective dad card was way too overplayed. The audience laughed at first but as they kept hammering it in it got quiet, I swear I could hear eyeballs rolling at one point.
-A lot of the humour and drama felt heavy handed. The humour at times was....weird. Felt so out of place and forced. Example when Joshua tells Li Bing that he loves her and tries to kiss her after a fight. The product placement was extremely blatant. Literally in your face at times.
-TJ Millers character was the only comic relief character in the whole saga that I wish was in it more. Thought he was funny without being over the top.
-For parents wanting to take their kids along and who are worried about language, there is a bit of swearing(die bitch, im going to kill you's, shit, nothing new really) and an fbomb.
-Battlecry is this movies Iridescent and by that I mean it was overplayed as fuck and the placement felt cheesy.
-The Dinobots were show stealers, although it felt a little too late on to save the show imo. By the time they were introduced I was waiting for the movie to just end. Strafes airborne scenes were mesmerising though. Grimlock had some cool 3D moments. They all looked badass in bot and robot mode. Hope they're brought back for the sequels. I wish they were in it more considering they were a major marketing gimmick.
- Seeing and hearing Optimus pissed off at humanity was AWESOME. He was really at the end of his tether here. Peter Cullen killed it. When he first reveals himself in the barn and hear the tone in his voice, you know shit has gone down for Prime. He's seen things man.
-Galvatron had some cool lines. His last one felt like it was lifted straight from the cartoon. Hearing Frank Welker gave me nerd tingles.
The editing was a bit jumpy in terms of one scene ending suddenly and flicking back and forth between story locations in a hurry. All the action scenes were smooth as a babys bum though. Special FX are nothing short of amazing though.

Overall, I enjoyed it but towards the end it just felt like going through the Michael Bay motions again and I started to lose interest. All the explosions, slow motion, car chases, obnoxious jokes wore me down. More of the same really, and if you didn't like the previous installments then it won't change your mind. If you did, you'll enjoy a this movie a lot. Everything is turned up to 20 for this one. It's a grand spectacle for sure. They got a lot right with this movie but a lot of old problems still persist which dragged it down. Maybe I'm just fatigued by Bay's style of directing. I know I may cop some flak for my opinion but removing my fangoggles and thinking about it objectively it gets a 6/10 from me.

 

What does KSI stand for?

 

I agree with you here with what he has been through and learned its realistic he would be angry and pissed at humans and all.

 

One more question to people who've seen the movie, was the Hong Kong battle better than the Chicago battle? Not in terms of just explosions but the robot vs robot action

 

I think Hound would win,he is armed to teeth,he has weapons all over his body,even his cigar is a weapon.

That was because no one in KSI including Joshua Joyce knew the existence of Lockdown and the arrangement between Lockdown and Attinger, until Attinger revealed it with that line.

 

A few questions that I imagine will be 'no's, but to satisfy my curiosity:

- Do the black Rally Fighters transform, a la the Power Battlers Vehicon toy?
- Are the red/silver Trax robots given a name?
