Spoiler alert! (Pardon, Gokuz23) Spoiler Right in the beginning of the Chapter, the area you get a chance to explore with Soundwave. Before you get to the checkpoint, there is an area to the far left, a small dirt-ramp. The instant you see it, you know something is up there (I originally though it was going to be ammo, wound up being the audio log). Yep. I have no idea why, but Activision's has no love for PC versions. HMS combined with Activision did a terrible job of the PC version of WfC (the irony when you realize they used PC to create the game for all platforms). FoC was "eh" for the PC. Your statement doesn't surprise me a bit regarding this game. One thing I'll give the game. If you like to challenge yourself, play on Hard Mode. You'll definitely have to think outside the box to get past some of the encounters.
Does the game have any spoilers for the upcoming film really or is it just disconnected? Otherwise I'll wait to play it until after I see AoE.
Not played it yet, still another 1 hour 21 minutes left . That's on top of the 4 hours of downloading the game has already done (wow my internet is slow today).
Love it so far on the PC. Little difficult on the second mission. I like what I have seen so far from the gameplay. I prefer the Cybertron missions, the Earth missions don't look realistic as I hoped IMO anyway. And the enemies are tougher than previous 2 games.
Can anyone confirm if it seems like any movie stuff will be spoiled by playing this? Then again, probably hard to say since no one has seen the movie yet.
I've played up to chapter 8 and I'm actually really enjoying it so far. The gameplay is decent, but the writers have crammed a LOT of TF lore into this game. There are several cool namedrops, references and just overall fun character moments which just makes the game for me. The AI and certain textures could really use some work though. Enemies and allies are just plain dumb at times, not gamebreakingly so, but it does mess with the immersion. Also, I'm not sure if it's the same actor, but Kickback's voice is very different. In FoC he was creepy and maniacal, now he just sounds like a maniacal chipmunk. A SEVERE downgrade. All in all, far from the best game ever. But I would recommend grabbing it for cheap later on just for the campaign's story and the character moments.
I enjoyed the campaign, the Cybertron chapters more than the Earth ones. The only major let down for me was that 15 is the max level on escalation again.
So I was playing Escalation, and got to a boss wave. It was Bumblebee. He, uh... somehow managed to kill himself. And I have no idea how it happened. Ya fucked up, Bumblebee.
Been playing since I picked it up early this morning about 10:30. Game is no WFC or FOC, but the Cybertron missions are pretty good, I dont particularly care for the Earth missions. Wish they would have just made a straight up Cybertron only game in the WFC and FOC universe, it would have turned out better. ~AAD
I hit him once with the disruptor and he wasn't the same afterwords. After it wore off he just ran into the corner and curled up into the fetal position. Then he got stuck with his face against the wall and stopped fighting. /facepalm
Man, that Chapter 2 was difficult, took me over 20 times to get past the last part with the 4 levers to pull, kept getting shot down, and killed. The earth missions are weird, just the way the earth vehicles, like the ambulance looked compared to Drift, so meh. Overall it's no WFC or FOC, but it's a good game. Not sure if I lucked out, or was mistake, but when I pre-ordered it thru GameStop.com for the PC, I got it for $39.99 plus tax, was pleasantly surprised that they only charged that amount, like 43 and change with Tax. Cause it's 49.99 plus Tax online. Maybe I got it during the PC Memorial Day sale they had last month.
