But that would involve Sentry actually doing something. I don't see that happening.

Wow...we waited through an artist taking his sweet time delay upon delay for this?

while amazing spidey didn't end how I expected it too (and that's a good thing) I foresee a lot of marvel dropping off my to buy list.

as for world war hulk, I'm out sick of marvel's crossovers that end nowhere

Marvel's policy on storys they don't like is to deny they ever happened.

I liked the Sentry... cool look... cool powers... lame "another Superman" powers, but still... and I totally admit that there wasn't gonna be very interesting stories with the character... but man could David Finch draw him....

... then they gave him long hair...

On this subject, there's an interesting bit from a Lying in the Gutters article you MIGHT find... interesting, yes?

Gossip reaches me that Marvel have created their own "get out of jail free" card for whatever continuity issues or interminable plot dead ends they find themselves in the future. The recent "Ms Marvel Special," ignored by most, features a new character "Storyteller" who can not only transform fiction into reality but can, if he wishes, change the ending.

Handy if you ever want to reverse someone's marital state, bring a permantently-dead character back to life, or change the ending to a popular mini-series as and when you wish...

    Interesting, no?

Glad I stuck to Marvel's Alt Realities then. Spider-girl and Ultimate Spidey only books I'm getting from them. Untimal AoD vs Marvel Zombies Hits.

Wow thats just plain terrible, here I was thinking there is no way Civil War could be worse than House of M. At least Annihlation kicked ass, nonetheless I think I am done with mainstream marvel, thats just awful.

I suppose at least Civil War was good up until the end, whereas House Of M was shite from the beginning...

The whole thing was worth it just to see Clor get pwned by Hercules. The Marvel Universe needs more Hercules.

Why the beep would Cap surrender? I hope somehow it all makes sense somewhere down the line.

And as for the retcon business, there's always the retcon bomb!

The end was kinda eh, and also felt kind of fast in a way, not sure how to describe it. Two things did stand out that I thought were cool. The first was Hercules just destroying the Thor clone, although I always thought that it would have been cooler to have the real Thor get rid of the clone. The second thing that stood out, was the couple panels with the Punisher picking up Cap's mask. I just really liked those panels.

...hopefully, World War Hulk wont follow the way Marvel's big events has been going (minus Annihilation, crap)

I liked it. No, loved it. I can certainly see why it'd be seen as anti-climatic, but that doesn't really bother me so much as the book delivered what it promised: change. Granted, I doubt any of it will last, but the MU is very different than what it was before.

My only complaint is more of a nit-pick, really: I wanted to see Prodigy kick some ass. Just a panel of him in the background clobbering Ms. Marvel or something. The guy have stop a speeding train. He deserves some respect as a powerhouse.

Oh, and "THOU ART NO THOR!!"

    Freakin' awesome.

I have a feeling Captain America is going to do something awesome later to redeem himself. At least I hope so...

Read it just now...felt kind of like a sputter. :/

Herc smishing Clor's head was cool, though Ronan beat him to that pose and more badassly in Annihilation.

I'm mostly annoyed that the cool image of the cover, everyone completely out cold or worse from the fighting...didn't happen. Not to mention that when Cap gave up nearly his entire main force were standing there going "hey WTF". :lol

But yeah...just feels like 616 is trying to become "The Colourful Ultimates". *shrug* Hoping I get proven wrong down the line.

And if not, there's always the cosmic side of things. :D
