She'll probably be more of a darker pink if they're going off her new body in the comics.

Bro, don't you think it's way too early? Yesterday's panel came very late at around 8-10 PM, so don't expect anything yet.

I find it a bit odd that MP Prowl (MP-04) is available in August while Sunstorm (MP-05) is available "now."

The thing with 3rd PArty figures is that they don't cut corners like Hasbro does. They make accurate, good looking figures. They HAVE to charge high prices because they don't have the factories and manpower that Hasbro does. Not to mention all the other product lines that Hasbro does. I'll pay 100$ for a 3rd party figure because Unlike Hasbro, they know how to make an accurate transformer.

    Accurate to what? Nothing.
If they made "accurate" figures, they'd have lawsuits on their doorstep in no time.

Why do you think Prominion isn't 100% spot on with Nova Prime's design?

So no, they don't make "accurate" figures. Hasbro and Takara do.
However, I will agree that they do make good looking figures.

I think many online fans are tired of movie Bumblebee altogether even when he does have a new mold.

You just know that this new Bumblebee mold will be repainted several times over in the next year in barely different yellow and black recolors. That really kills people's enthusiasm,

Wow that dinobot pack is the only movie figure release that I now want. How hard is it to acquire SDCC toys? I'm late to the game and I remember Metro going for over $200. Do they become available directly after or during the Con?

Actually, all experience bias is incorrect when trying to assess a given phenomenon. I was simply pointing out that if you're going to go with a single experience (or couple) as proof of your point, you might as well have the benefit of having it be FIRSTHAND experience. Hearing about a cousin's kid's reaction to something is kind of... unprofessional? :p

Hard to not take that as an illiterate insult! :lol  I finds readings hards, so I do read less the skim! :lol
Nah, I read it all, but you're right about my rebuttal - I might have been commenting on individual points, rather than the overall message. :)

Please let the movie come out before you condemn the toys. They might sell once the synergy is actually there - look at what happened in previous movie years! I swear I've never seen so many kids get excited about TFs until AFTER the movie is out. But I don't have a crystal ball (and neither do you), so I say we wait and see. Can't really judge the movie line before the movie is out, can you? Do kids scour the internet for toy news and make weekly visits to toy stores for the latest new toys? :lol  Not anymore, anyway. It's like, why not let the giant 2:45 hr toy commercial do its job before we say these things are terrible and "the wrong direction". If they sell, then they're the right direction in the sense that the brand will be more successful than if they don't sell (short-term?). I'm just playing devil's advocate for Hasbro's sake. I actually do agree with most of your points.:D
You fail to mention specifics when you say "all of the figures have problems". That sounds kind of unlikely, to be honest. :rolleyes2
But a lack of focus is a bad thing, you're right, and I think any lay man can walk into the toy aisle and see that lack of focus! :)  That's really a strong point you should have FOCUSED on (unintentional pun). It's far easier to prove that an unfocused company can produce too many products that lose money, causing significant financial damages in the short and/or long term. But McDonald's does something similar: when sales are low, they introduce more items to attract more customers. When sales pick up, they shrink the product offerings (most likely cutting out the poor sellers) to increase overall efficiency and profitability. Therefore, to say that offering TOO MANY choices is a bad thing... not necessarily true! :p  I'd say it's worse (in this case) to have so many CONFUSING choices... but again, only time will tell! :p

Hasbro has been involved with SDCC for many years, I thought? How does that show a commitment to adult collectors, when they've only recently even mentioned the adult fan-base in public materials and press releases? :)

I was gonna say that last part! :lol  I'm not sure this is the "future" you're predicting as much as the present. You could also mention how Hasbro's lack of G1 toys has helped the 3P scene blossom and FLOURISH. :)  If they really do combiners in 2015, as they promised, they could finally hurt that 3P industry a little (or a lot) without having to fire a single lawsuit!

I don't doubt for one second that Generations would get the axe, if only Hasbro could make these 1 steppers and Titans sell like crazy! Generations toys are expensive to make, and people complain a whole lot, making sales incredibly risky and uneven. That's the only explanation I can think of for why they seem so interested in moving away from the main line with all of these sub-lines and experiments. It's not "logic", it's business. And business is not art. Keep in mind you love TFs the ART, not TFs the business. You can't talk about Hasbro and not think about how they see the toys/brand: as a business to exploit. They have some very talented artists in employ, but they'll always be a business - a business that only "loves" you for your money, not your opinions or personality.

What's "plenty colorful" mean? Cause I don't see plenty of colors at all. Remember how people called FoC Bruticus, "Fruiticus"? :lol  THAT'S colorful.

And kids do like colors. THAT'S why BB and Optimus are so popular: the red/blue and yellow. Bright, vibrant colors. Why isn't Megatron as popular? Or maybe Jazz? Or Prowl? I think it's the colors. But again, talk to some kids or see what they gravitate toward, and I bet it's color. But that's just my opinion. If I had the time or desire, I might look for a psychological study on this subject to help drive the point home... but I'm not really looking to fight or anything, so disagree all you want. :)

Nah, we can talk and disagree without having to get flustered. Honestly, I do think a lot of what you say is true and makes sense. But then there's the business side to TFs, and it just doesn't care about anything you said... unless what you said is absolute proof of how the brand will lose money due to its poor decisions. I'm just waiting for the movie to come out so we can see how the Titans sell. The Prime Titans sold poorly because kids didn't give a sh*t about Prime (or not enough did, anyway). I'd love to see how the kids feel about the AoE Titan toys. And for the record, they're actually pretty good for under 3 yrs, cause they have enough trouble transforming toys in general! My toddler likes having a giant BB and Optimus... for a little while, at least. He does generally prefer actual TRANSFORMERS. But the Titans are cheap to make, so Hasbro isn't likely losing much from selling them (or not selling them?). I bet the stores are happy to be able to order them so cheap, too.
