That DMK Optimus looks really nice. I might shell out for that one. Now, if they made a Lockdown, my wallet would definitely cry

Gun Face is kinda cool, but I still don't see myself buying deluxe Lockdown. Cloud Rodimus looks cool, but I can't justify $100 for a voyager figure, even with exchange rates

i still think you should hold out hope for the hook hand. at this point with how excited the fan base is about lockdown some third party group is gonna put out a hook hand and clear helmet set. though it's good he can do his "signature move" with the gunface. we all suspected it with how the gun looked but great to see it in action.

oh man that rodimus is cool just not $100 cool...hasbro really needs to get on with a new rodimus, ultra magnus with trailer armor, and a proper galvatron.

 

Lockdown's gun-face mode is pretty cool, and I know I am not the first one saying this but where is his hook?

 

that DMK Optimus  ...upset that there was pretty much NO retooling on Rodimus except what looks like a new head. Why did they keep the helicopter mode... . Oh and I just do not like Lockdown's face sculpt at all. It just doesn't scream bad guy or evil in anyway possible. Looks like a tired old man.

 

I actually never got into the dmks cos I'm allergic to the whole gumdam style model kit assembling, so I wana ask fellow collectors what's the magic with these?
Are they easy to assemble?
Do they stay together well without glue
And do they fall apart when posing

dunno if that was a typo..but Gundam*.   anyways these really nicely done pre painted parts that go on top of a pre painted frame. The amount of detail in the kit is astounding and it holds together really well. Depending on the final color scheme of this, I might repaint it silver with some other custom touches

 

$100 is the usual going rate once it gets into the hands of resellers. Look at cloud optimus and megatron. Im sure they were priced the same.

For the last prime I was very happy with leader class striker prime
However due to the impossible aoe design this guy seems the best representation

 

The movie toys have been hit or miss for me. Cloud Shockwave feels wrong and lazy.

Cloud Rodimus... A good toy to begin with and it works with his IDW design. But there is one thing that totally helps this as a Rodimus; hollow space in the chest. Third party bait.

More like head gun... but still... makes sense to have the gun itself have a means of attaching to his head and mimic the gimmick.

 

Guys, sorry, newb question, but i dont know what cloud is. Are the rodimus and shockwave repaints coming to north america, or are these Japanese version that will be a lot more expensive?

Cloud is a a series of exclusive repaints. Previous Cloud releases have been Optimus Prime (Classics OP), Megatron (GDO Megs), Starscream (Gen Blitzwing) and Brawn (Unreleased GDO/FE Bulkhead retool).

Oh, I have no doubt that at least one 3rd party group will come-up with a hook-hand and helmet. That said, I have no interest in buying those two accesories for the same price, if not more, as Lockdown himself.

 

It will be tough to turn down Cloud Rodimus since I need him in my Lost Light display..

Lockdown..very cool that the gun-face has been confirmed. But with that said..sigh..we need a voyager or leader class Lockdown.

Hell yes! I've been waiting for another one of those! Here's to hoping they do more than just an Optimus and a Bee. I wanna see Lockdown as a DMK!

Also, hooray for deluxe Lockdown having gunface which we pretty much already knew but is awesome to see nonetheless.
