Great. I'm more concerned about the use of foul language, as younger K-6 grade kids are stoked to watch this and knowing most of the AoE toy lines are geared towards them I know this movie is a contradiction of that aspect, more than likely appropriate for teens and up.

My 5 year old is super excited to see this, but as a parent I dread Michael Bay's cinematic "sensibilities" for young audiences.

The Pretender bot in RotF, Simmons' privates in RotF, Carly's rear end close up, the half dozen or so F bombs, etc... ugh. Call me old fashioned I guess. I don't enjoy that scrap and don't want my son exposed to it at his age.

I understand what you're saying perfectly. I mean if I had kids I would feel the same exact way. These are Transformers movies for crying out loud and Bay loves to blast them with profanity.

I'll call you old-fashioned! :lol  I don't think some naughty words or sexy butts are enough to ruin your kid, bud. First of all, your kid will not notice that crap: he'll be watching giant f*cking dinosaurs destroy stuff! :D
Second of all, there's a phrase called "media literacy" - it means talking to your kid about what they see on TV and explaining what's appropriate. That's waaaaaaay more important than him being exposed to a Bay movie. Look, he's gonna be exposed anyway, and I don't think Bay is particularly harmful to children (other than some very bad masturbation jokes).

I'm more concerned about the run time. My 3 yr old will definitely lose his mind if he has to sit through long, slow scenes with no robots in it... I call that "f*cking about". These movies have a lot of FA, cause they have to save on animation, etc. But at 2:45 hrs??? Could be some epic FA that will bore kids to tears... but I'm thinking this is an afternoon plan with lots of breaks in and out of theater.... I guess.

No offense to you (because I also approve of your sentiments and support to the other guy), but if you're not a parent, zip it? :banghead:  I'm a little tired of this "empathy" from members who like to speak for women or talk about virtual children, etc. It's hard to explain, but IMAGINING what it's like to have children is not the same as actually HAVING children. "If I went to a store and saw these toys, my kid would also be.... blah, blah, blah." It's great to hear when you have kids, but saying you're against something because you feel assured a future you would say the same thing? Ehhhh....
You'll see what I mean, one day. ;)
    Bro hugs? :lol

Nope. You don't know me or my kid. I'm not your bud and you have no place to tell me what is ok or not for my kid. Drop the high horse condescending attitude and park your ego elsewhere. Not appreciated. Of course I'm going to talk to my boy about what to expect because I know what's coming with this Bay scrap. You don't think we've been around this block? Movie number 4, man. My boy is old enough to recognize foul language and good vs bad behavior. He knows what is appropriate for his mind to be exposed to because I've taken the time to educate him.

Can't change what Bay gives us, can only sigh and prepare for it because I am going to watch it for what you said: the robots. The whole tone of my post was intended to express my loathing for another dose of Bay scrap drenched over pretty slick robot fighting action.

My point is that Bay is tone deaf when it comes to the younger kids whose whole point of these movies is to sell toys to said children. As this whole franchise is supposed to make movies and shows to sell their toys to kids, then make the movies appropriate for kids with clean messages. Take it or leave it. Fun chatting with you.

This movie only has brief innuendo, and some minor cursing like: Hell, Damn, and maybe, just maybe fu**. But you're exaggerating there, DOTM only had one f bomb, not half a dozen. And you won't have to worry about kids seeing bad stuff. ;)

Actually in DotM there was one full F bomb, and 3 other "half" F bombs.

In RotF there is one I know for sure when Megan Fox screams out for the military to "F***ing do something!" After Sam gets blasted by Megatron. Not sure of any other half F bombs... I was generalizing how many there are.

I'd just prefer to not have any at all. It isn't necessary. Close ups of Man butt, girl butt, wheelie humping, Freshman 55, 5 foot tongues, innuendo... why??? Nothing to do with Transformers at all. Anyways... it is what it is.

If I can sit through King Kong 2005, The 3 Lord of the Rings movies, and the 2 Hobbit movies, I'm pretty damn sure I can handle a slightly longer TF movie :lol

Funny enough, the one full F-bomb in Dark of the Moon was actually only in the Blu-ray and DVD release. In the theater it's "Freaking Awesome." The one in ROTF is barely audible.

Still, there is a reason these films are rated PG-13

Holy shit this is long. I'll take a 5 hours transformer movie, but they need the kids for the box office and I hope the parents don't check the run time because that might scare some away.
