"You were built, and they want you back"

As soon as I heard Lockdown say this line, my mind went immediately back in time to the original Transformers history and I remembered the QUINTESSONS. You know the creators of the transformers. So my theory is that they sent Lockdown to capture prime in order for him to be judged for his actions on earth.

    what do you guys think?

P.S I know Primus is the deemed creator of the transformers, but I think we all know how that turned out *cough cough* TF3

But then he says "and they want you back" unless Lockdown is working with the humans, I don't think he would say that.

Wait, what happened in TF3? I don't recall Primus even being mentioned.

I initially thought "Quints!", but have come to think it may be a later conversation with Galvatron
    if he becomes sentient

Why would Lockdown be talking to Galvatron?

Having a common enemy is generally a good conversation starter.

Galvatron is in between Lockdown and Optimus. And he's not dead. It would be logical for them to have a conversation.

My point is what he is saying would not make sense if he was saying it to Galvatron.

Why? It makes more sense than Optimus. Galvatron is not born, he's built and we know humans want him back to the base after he's beaten by Optimus.

Plus don't except this sentence to stay the same in the movie. It sounds edited and I'm sure they'll add some stuff to it.

Lockdown said "they want you back". Optimus also during the trailer says "They want to destroy us." 'They' as in humans because the humans want to destroy all transformers hence them making their own. So it would make a ton of sense if Lockdown said that to Galvatron.

Personally, my fan theory right now is that when Optimus and Galvatron fight, Optimus does something to Galvatron that makes him flashback to his previous life as Megatron, disorienting him enough for Optimus to bring him down and about to finish him off. Then, when Optimus is taken down by Lockdown, Galvatron is on the ground dazed. Now, some Cinemacon footage descriptions have the people who created Galvatron ordering him to get out of there. Perhaps Lockdown overhears and says the line as a taunt.

It's manipulative editing the way they have it in the TV spot. They're keeping Galvatron a secret for the most part. So far in the previews we've only had three glimpses of him in the previews - one slicing the car, one where he's on the ground, and one where he's running towards Optimus.

Its pretty clear that the humans dont know who Lockdown is. Even if the did, how would they even be able to contact him? I can accept that his statement could be directed at someone else at a different point in the movie, but to think that humans knew who Lockdown was and how to contact him to bring their drone back to them makes no sense at all.

I'm not saying they contact him. Knowing his makers want him back is a fairly easy observation if he did any recon.

I thought it wasn't so much Galvatron being commanded to retreat from the fight once Lockdown appears as the humans just bringing him back as he's literally a remote control robot at that point (at least as far as they're concerned).

Also, the way the line's delivered just doesn't sound like a piece of aside information Lockdown's giving to a human-built TF that just happens to be there. That would have a much more pitying, condescending tone, especially the 'they want you back' bit. I mean it's not like the humans technically don't have Galvatron seeing that he's under their control at that point.

The way he says it sounds more like a huge revelation, not only to who he's speaking to, but to the audience.

I believe he is referring to Cybertron, aka Primus' body, being destroyed by the Space Bridge.

Also, to throw more fuel on the fire... quintessons have their Sharkticons and Aligatoricons... and now we know that Lockdown is going to have a pack of techno-organic wolves.

    Quintesson trackers, anyone?
