I'm guessing the break in flow is because this line is another part of his Centre of the Universe speech. Guesswork of course, but I imagine it goes something like

Prime: 'Who sent you?'
Lockdown: 'Someone who's been keeping tabs on you Prime. You think your actions don't have consequences? Everyone is answerable, even you.'
Prime 'I have only ever done what I believe to be right.'
Lockdown 'What you believe to be right? What arrogance. You think you're the centre of the universe? That you have a right to decide the fates of others?
Prime: 'I am a Prime. I was born to protect those who can't protect themselves. Tell me, who sent you?'
Lockdown: *laughs* 'Your creators of course. You think you were born? You were built, and they want you back.'

One thing I'm really liking about Lockdowns voice is how level it is. Cool as fuck, no affected 'I'm bad!' mania, snarling or sneering, just a hard arse guy who's going to tear shit up.

 

Maybe humans are making robots with something similar, or the thing, that made Optimus.

Hot damn, two lines featured in trailers by the main robot villain? That seem to indicate character motivation? This movie really is looking promising.

Guys I was just thinking, what if those who want him back, mean Galvatron? He could get his memory of Megatron back and they want him back to be the decepticon leader and destroy earth or whatsoever. Could be true

But I don't think so because remember the other trailers where Optimus is captured and tortured in Lockdowns ship. So i think they really WANT him back and told Lockdown to capture OP and bring him back (where ever to)

Oh shit! This does open up questions doesn't it. Like others have said, for all we know he's talking to Galvatron.
Still, Prime being built would be an interesting story. But then it'll probably turn into "it doesn't matter who I am, it's what I do that defines me."

Man ever since we saw Lockdown in the first superbowl spot I never though it he would turn out to be a evil awesome badass Villain.
They never promoted the villain in spots like this before, all in our heads wondering what galavtron role in this!!! I can't wait to find out in 9 days

 

Wasn't that a g1 origin story for prime??? I forget individual characters in the plot but doesn't it work along the lines of the decepticons initially killed him but he was rebuilt into optimus prime a soldier and commander designed purposely to fight and defeat the decepticons??? Could this be to what lockdown is referring to if indeed it is optimus he is speaking to??

 

yeah probably, it looks like it's going that way... but you got to have faith, maybe not in what the trailers are, but in what the movies can be.


that makes me wonder: what if the stories of the movies were completely based on the their trailers?

Can I just point out that he's facing Optimus and looking directly at him... chances are high he's talking to Optimus and not Galvatron who is in an entirely different place or Tessa.
