And I guess Animated Grimlock's foot squishing RiD Grimlock must have been a reference to that one scene from the TFA Episode 'Blast from the Past', right?  

 

I love that I wished we've had more on the other Dinobots.

 

DARNIT. Looks like I DID miss a good'n! I knew I wasn't going to be able to get EVERY Grimlock in there, considering all the damn toys and repaints...

And I had no idea that Build Hurricane had such a fan base here in the States!  

Maybe I'll do a special edition next year and add AM Grimlock with "Grimlock" on his shoulders  

 

I would have thrown in a Blue/teal G2 Grimlock and the chibi Robot Heroes Grimlock as well. But thats just me.  

 

But at least those times, he was still based on the G1 Grimlock character. The RiD Version was never anything more then a Grimlock-in-name-only character. If anything, the one people should be complaining about is Beastwars Grimlock as he's has just as little resemblance to the real deal as the RiD one...well, outside the fact that at least he's a dinosaur. Though I will admit the artist did a very good job hiding that fact by making him more of a dirty grey-ish white skinned dino to match the rest instead of the snow white version he actually is.

That said, seeing this very awesome print made me realize just how many of those versions of Grimlock I actually own. The only ones(who had toys) I don't have myself is the WWI, Device Label, Pretender and Beast Wars versions. It also made me realize that we haven't gotten an awesome Legends scale Grimlock yet! We've got tons of other G1 guys in that size, but no Grimlock! Someone needs to get on that right away.

I mentioned it because Action Master Grimlock was one of my favoirite childhood toys and I still love his design in the old G1 comics.

That still doesn't mean RiD Grimlock isn't any less silly or non-sensical than Mustang Grimlock. Or the friggin' mouse that's front and center.

Still feels, as another member put it, like a middle finger to RiD fans. Even though that was cleary not the intention. A bad joke would be more accurate to say.

 

RID Grimlock, the slappiest of all name slaps. I get why people are upset, but I find it hilarious myself. Sorry RID fans.

 

Who cares? If you don't like it (for whatever the reason is) don't buy it.

It's not an official product. If the artist wanted RID Grimlock to be crushed, then let him do it. I think it's funny.

 

Awesome. It's fitting for him to draw a Dinobot print given their prominent role in the new movie
