Haha. Poor Leadfoot. Not only is he called Sidewipe, he's also turned into a Vehicon...

I always thought these were based on AOE movie scenes, but this further supports that idea if not outright confirming it. While I don't plan on getting these, I can't wait to see these scenes play out in theaters.

Lmao! These commercials are bad! And whoever is narrating is bad too. He calls the ship lockdown and says it has its own Kreon, when in fact we all know the Kreon in the ship is lockdown. And the blue Vehicon he calls Sideswipe is just a vehicon and in no way is that Leadfoot guys lol.

Under a rock on the dark (side) of the moon ;)  I actually like the Leadfoot one. Don't plan on getting any of the movie Kreo stuff but still love my giant Kreon g1 figures/combiners.

They kind of messed up with the Lockdown ambush set referring to the ship as Lockdown; 'Build Decepticon Lockdown with pilot Kreon figure' - Either that or they gave away a major twist... you decide ;)

They also messed up with calling the Vehicon sideswipe. I half wonder of the red Leadfoot that was on the box and now this vehicon being called Sideswipe are both place holders for a real sideswipe and they may be trying to hide that he may show up.

I have a similar feeling that this may be trying to hide something, but not Sideswipe. We have not heard anything about Deadlock, so it may possibly be that Lockdown is Drift in this continuity. The way that they show him swooping down and picking up the Vehicon makes me think that he switches sides.

Maybe the Samurai armor that would have gone to Prowl (in Animated) is what he uses on himself to then become Drift?

If the toy scene in the promo was filmed first, then it is logical to think that the actor in the scene is depicting the actual scenario, while the voice actor's script was altered to deter from the revealing the plot twist in the film that is depicted with the play set.

EDIT: Lockdown was basically and independent character. Even though he wore the Decepticon insignia, there were moments when he kind of supported the Autobots too.

    are you talking about animated?

i don't recall him wearing a decepticon emblem.

i remember him having a spot for a symbol.. but it was just black... sort of like a rub sign.

You are right. The toy has the symbol and that is what is in my mind, because I have it out on display right now. The show just had what looked like a rub sign.

Are they in any scenes together so far?

I remember some car chase scenes earlier in filming, but what if one that included both cars was actually a scanning scene where Lockdown was acquiring his alt mode. Think about it, Lockdown wears a weird helmet / mask and Drift has a Samurai mask / helmet too. What if it is the same face under both mask?

New Videos for Kre-O AoE sets

Probably not super important news, seeing as the sets have been out a while now anyhoo, but the Kre-O Youtube channel just posted up some videos detailing the AoE sets. Pretty cool if you're on the fence and want to see what they offer before you buy.
