Actually, this makes some sense. In DOTM, through the actions of Optimus, Bumblebee and Ratchet, Cybertron is destroyed. In the trailers, we see Ratchet getting shot up, Optimus is shown evading Lockdown's ship's giant vacuum along with Bumblebee and is captured (before or after the evasion shot) and later is fighting with Lockdown, and Bumblebee is also shown fighting Lockdown. Also, back when they were filming early on and Ratchet's alt mode was spotted, there was a theory (can't remember if fan-based or not) about Ratchet being chased by Lockdown. So perhaps Lockdown has been sent, like you say, to take them out to alter the course of events.

The only thing I'm trying to figure out is whether there is a target in Hong Kong or whether the destruction surrounding Hong Kong is a distraction to draw the Autobots (or more specifically Optimus and BB) out.

Ok ive seen what you guys have seen and i never said i have the answers but if I had to deduce what lockdown was doing to optimus then that is what i would say he is torturing him in an attempt at gaining information....about what am not sure entirely but that is my viewpoint as he captures optimus and (based on the trailers we have seen) it seems he remains at earth....which Imo is just not done when optimus has friends who would look for him and try and rescue him (which it seems they do) so the smart move for a smart bounty hunter is to get your bounty and get the hell outta there........which i repeat.....it appears he doesn't do.

That was a joke....i even went into the store to check and see if it was part of any kind of advertisement in their guide....not a thing in there!! I also tried online nothing.....even if from hasbro they just align everything that's not an autobot is a decpticon.

Clearly you went to the wrong Argos. If you had bothered to look at the images behind tonyformers links you would have seen photos of the guide, both the front cover and the insides. It is one of their standard supplemental booklets, like the ones they have for Easter etc.

Am not saying they didn't exist but that it was more of a tongue in cheek form of advertising not to be taken serious as the figures were bit strange to say the least hence why it must have been a short lived ad campaign they did hence why i couldn't find anything as we both know all Argos are the same content wise its only what's in the store rooms that differ not catalogues

Can't seem to find the thread with the story board drawings. But wasn't there a key in the front seat of a car that was being chased?

The key could simply be for the Dinobots. Maybe the key has a more significant meaning like the key to Vector Sigma. With the All Spark somewhat gone, Matrix Returned to Prime maybe another source of making Transformers is out there.

Imo..the key has something to do with that obelisk that bay and his crew were pictured with a while back. Think its called the omega lock or something similar. I think the key is being manipulated in order to make the human TF's and Imo it appears that is a bad thing

    stock levels vary!

the content was not created for a short lived argos advertising campaign, they lifted it straight from wallpapers on the hasbro website.

Well i couldn't find it in a city centre one dude and the numbers were suspect anyways.....i mean blackout emp'd and hacked a whole military base whilst taking out its defences thats a dam sight more impressive than a random bunch of defenceless mobile phones. So no idea why that would be used as reliable info on a supposed badass character. Any way friend i feel we are flogging a dead horse here you just like everyone else here has their point and i respect it and it is a valid one i just came to the party a bit late i dont mean to be obstructive on your POV.

I think that's kind of obvious he doesn't. Optimus like you say is dragged etc hung up lockdown does stuff when hes both lying down and hung up that takes time.....he is supposed to be a professional and feared bounty hunter.....so why do you think when he has an (indicated) incapacitated prime on board his ship and should have set sail there and then.....does he somehow allow bee and the humans to mount a rescue operation. As am gonna say Imo that even happens in a different location ON EARTH than where he captured optimus.

Although you of course could be 100% right as it was said that cade discovers something that gets everyone hunting for it or something similar and we do see in the trailers he discovered its optimus.....so who actually knows.....i just want variety and as much as of a juicy plot as they can do!

    :lol  This made my day.

I think it is probably Optimus, but this is a very good point I didn't consider! Now it makes me think that maybe Optimus isn't the bounty, but Optimus knows where the bounty is and Lockdown needs to torture him to find out where. I think I like that idea better. Seems more interesting.

Don't forget that the TOY LISTS LOCKDOWN AS A DECEPTICON, which is totally inaccurate in every sense of the word! Therefore the entire toy is a throw-off.
