I'm seriously thinking of cancelling my pre-order. I wasn't expecting this game to be great, just something somewhat fun; but it really is another phoned in Activision game the more I see.

There is just not a lot to play on new gen systems and I figured this would give me something to sink my teeth into till Metro Redux comes out.

I don't blame the developers, because they most likely have limited resources and hey everybody needs a job, but man this is beginning to looking like dookie.

Edit: Oh yeah, you can bet your booties that all the pre-order extras are all on the disk like FOC dlc was. Paying for a code to unlock those items. Disk Locked Content

 

What... the HECK was that?

AoE Grimlock's robot face doesn't even closely resemble his toy. In fact, it doesn't even resemble a face, more like a helmet with a slab of metal covering the eyes. Is it a case of 2007 Megatron again where the toy will not resemble the movie model?

And I cannot believe they basically put FoC Grimmy's gameplay elements to AoE Grimmy, yet made FoC Grimmy another basic ranged attacker. WTF?

 

I think he is looking down when you see it in the beginning. Also, I could give less of a damn care about complaints. SOME people these days always find SOMETHING to complain about for no damn good reason

 

I have never seen worse proportions and animations in a modern game than that AOE Grimlock.
And now I'm freaking sick of the sound of Devastator transforming.

That's just in Escalation. In the campaign he's the same.

I don't know why but that cracked me up. Instead of a warning that the game contains violence it felt more like a subliminal message that you should go out & commit violence.

Unbelievable. They took FOC Grimlock's sword animations and gave them to AOE Grimlock's club! Same transformation and everything! They might as well be the same character, other than the fact that they went and took grimlock's sword away, from the looks of things. Very disappointing trailer.

 

In general, I agree with you.
But after the great job High Moon did with WfC and then FoC, I think seeing their work recycled into this creatively bankrupt mess is a pretty damn good reason to complain.

 

It still looks like the Age of Extinction Grimlock is using the Fall of Cybertron Grimlock animations. I find it funny, because at the end one of the Age of Extinction moive trailers Grimlock stabs a robot with his tail and throws him off with his mouth, which reminds me of Fall of Cybertron's Grimlock's execution move where he stabs a robot with his tail and breaths fire on it until it explodes.

Him Grimlock looks okay.

 

I get why they made the AOE Grimlock smaller - so he'd be the same size as the WFC version - however it makes him look rather pathetic being around 28.5ft tall in robot mode compared to the films 50ft tall alt-mode.

 

No idea. They are edited so poorly, and they use sound's from ROTF. How can they release trailer's like this?

quite the crying, the game looks fine, the cybertron portion looks great, earth has always been really hard to recreate with transformers in it. More Grimlock gameplay? I'm in!

The animation is really outta whack :0 i really hate the rusty movements but the Earth Grimlock is quiet impressive and really loving the Melee weapon

This game is a travesty!

Looks bad mainly because this is a cheap ass atempt to tie the movie to the story lines set by High Moon studios.

Hasbro deserves to burn in hell for trying to do this and just doing it poorly. The animation of everything they stole from high moon looks horrible. The game is lit incorrectly and colors are just off. Its almost as if High Moon handed over the rough models and animations.

If you have any respect for Transformers as a fan, this is a must skip. Whether you are a fan of the movie line or not it just doesnt have any part of the TF universe and definitely not with the High moon story lines.

 

You mean exactly the same as FOC, and therefore incredibly boring?

 

Have you played it yet? the shots in the trailer are from the side and not the actual gameplay, you can fault the person who thinks slowing down the gameplay and making it look choppy looks good in a trailer
