Hey guys! I noticed today that a Dutch news website had posted an interview with Mark Wahlberg! Don't worry, I translated it for you (see below);)  do keep in mind that this is a translation and that Marky Mark might have used different phrasing (the news website had translated large parts of the interview and didn't provide the original transcript).

The interview does not touch on TF AOE, but it does relate Mark's personal life style and his hardships to his movie persona and how his parenting style is similar to Cade Yeager's. It was quite an open and honest interview and a fun read. Now for discussion matters, do you think that his acting in TF AOE could benefit from his personal experiences in real life? There is no doubt that Cade Yaeger will be a far more interesting character than Sam Witwicky, but knowing these personal facts and similarities between Wahlberg and Yaeger, could it be that his representation will be far more honest and believable? For once, a lead character who we could relate to?

Bonus question: do you think the tf franchise can benefit from an overprotective dad, or is this an overused character in movies and series in general?

(there are some nice promo pictures of Whalberg at the end for the fans, one in front of a AOE poster)

(If this belongs somewhere else and not in the movie forum, my apologies)

No problem! He does indeed seem to have a thing for bizar roles, Ted jumps to mind immediately and he was kind of an a-hole in two guns, although that was a good action movie.
