I opened him up, drilled holes in his chest and back, inserted screws. Then drilled holes into the pegs on the spines and just screwed them on lol. They turn and or can com off.

Ill be waiting to see the movie to get a better feel for him and see his colorings before painting him to match/

2-Errr... scratch this question as you just posted it...lol can he still transform, and if so can you pop a pic (if it is not too much trouble, that is).
If he cannot still transform, no matter as it is an awesome custom nonetheless.

Great work! The spines are maybe a bit low since they look to go almost straight to his sides rather than a slight tilt from the center spines but it still looks good and is more screen accurate from what little we have seen. The best part though is that he still transforms and looks good in bot mode.
I'd considered trying something like this with my next one so thank you for showing us that it can and does work out!

 

No problem and you are quite welcome. It's a very easy quick custom. I'm going to refine it a bit when I have the time but anyone can do it. Just need 3 scorn toys to use the spines from though.

 

Hah yeah the 3 Scorns is the painful part, but probably no better way to do it.

 

...you could always try to replicate the fin by straightening the tines on a plastic fork...

This... Is... AWESOME!!!  I didn't think it was possible, but there I go again underestimating the ingenuity of the radicons and being genuinely surprised (and impressed) when someone actually manages to pull it off! A tip of hat to you, sir. Others will undoubtly follow in footsteps. 

 

If anything, he's now got two new Baryonyx Dinobots, Sabre and Scythe.

Anyway, it looks great. Definitely more screen accurate even if the robot mode isn't. I really like how the leftmost spines become a wicked collar.

All He needs now is spikes/spines on his dino head like the recent movie pics we've been getting, kinda understand now why we got soft rubber, this dude would have been covered in sharp plastic spines all over if he was movie accurate lol
