    The Sky.

I mean aren't they supposed to be robots in the skies?

The sky is the best place to describe where ever those robots come from in the desert the generic ones not the Constructicons.

At least they showed a ship in the new movie the new Autobots in G1 just appeared.

    That's a question that's been asked since G1.

Those guys were supposed to have all died the planet was supposed to be empty and dead wasn't it?

I know the Ark crashed into the moon in the 60's but the movies never really explain how long it took for the ark to actually get there, there could have been millions of years between the opening scene and the 60's when it crashed.

Under the guise of an abandoned warehouse, Prime and Ratchet sewed the remains of deceased Autobots into a cleverly disguised, in-ground regenerator. When current Bots decide to leave for space or are murdered by Cons or backstabbing humans, they 'water' the regenerator with cyber-matter. New recruits then seemingly spring from the 'ground'. They are then given names and positions based upon their frame type and natural skills.

    No, really. ; )-

I think the transformers fled Cybertron when it started dying but there could have been others left behind like in G1
Yes it could have been millions of years to get to the moon but the ark didn't just float around space until it hit the moon. I believe the ark teleported to our solar system. When it teleported it might have done some time traveling and it ended up crashing in the 60's. Megatron however got to earth a couple of hundred years earlier and the cube a couple of thousand years earliers. So assuming megatron and the cube were still on Cybertron when the ark left then the ark time traveled a couple of thousand years into the future which is our modern time.

That really makes no sense though they never said anything about any kind of funky transwarp drive.

Yea it's not really explained in the movie but in the comics it's stated that the space brigde technology transported the ark to the moon and knocked everyone aboard into stasis. So it's highly possible this happened in the movie but it wasn't explained or shown so we are left thinking it just floated in space until it got to earth.

In how many cartoons of TFs has it been said that Cybertron was a dead, lifeless wasteland? Yet there is always still done TFs living there. Just because a planet is dead does not mean all life on it is dead.

No, definitely not that long. The Fallen predated the Decepticons and he only "fell" about 10,000 years ago, on Earth. The entire Autobot/Decepticon war has been going on less than 10,000 years in the movieverse.

That's very problematic in terms of plotting, because apparently Cybertronians arrive on Earth at least 65 million years ago, since we know AoE opens with those ships arriving and seeing real dinosaurs. Unless those ships are not cybertronian, or the scene clearly predates the war...

It's looking more and more like we just need to strike RotF out of the canon, since it's poorly planned plot really screws everything up.

They could be scattered on other planets and arrive between movies, or sideswipes ship could have brought a lot and they are scattered around different parts of the planet doing their own thing. The wreckers presumably arrive with sideswipe since it is mentioned his ship brought the second wave of autobots, but yet we don't see them till dotm at nasa and because of their behavior they don't leave that site much.

I would have thought it would be most easily explained with them taking refuge in the skies. When they scattered from Cybertron, they would have taken refuge in other systems, planets and so forth. Optimus made the statement in the first movie that he was open to others coming to Earth. The franchise needs to make lots of movies so they come in waves...

I'm thinking that the call Optimus made once reactivated prompts Crosshairs and Hound to come to Earth.

Yeah, maybe they were just farther away than the other Autobots.

It would be nice if they at least mentioned running into some cons and getting slowed down especially if they found where ever all those generic decepticons came from not the ones on the moon.

I know they are all big plot holes but maybe they will try to fill in one or two.
