We already know some of the previous autobot soldiers are either killed or are gone in hiding just like prime and bee,and drift who is a former deception maybe functioning on earth for some time.But where do crosshairs and hound came from??

I agree cybertron must of homed a lot of transformers and they must of left the planet at one point due to the war and loss of the cube and took residency among other solar systems, planets etc..

Optimus cry for help as such must of been heard and thus result in them helping the commander out and homing in on the signal to earth

End of the first movie in Prime's little ending speech he says he's sent out a signal to the other Autobots scattered across space. When you figure how long it would take get the signal even at light speed and to travel between stars at even close to light speed then it would mean that all the Autobots aren't going to arrive quickly and at the same time.

One of the few times the film series was actually thinking ahead.

 

Yeah if they were a massively space faring race it makes sense there would be colonies, outposts, small settlements or ones that just hid and were tired of fighting.

 

Yes I imagine there is tons of Autobots still out there in space. We cant all sit and believe that through the 4 movies there was only less than 20 Autobots left in the entire space, Compared to what appears to be hundreds and thousands of Cons.

I like to think when Prime sends his messages whoever is closer to earth decides to come and help

 

But doesn't the Autobots meet each other the first time in the desert and I think the desert scene is after when Optimus fights the KSI people
