I wish it'd be something related to the movie or the next tv show

The Bumblebee fan in me would want it to BB, but releasing that tank Rumble/Frenzy would have been awesome, he makes the most sense as the drummer.

I've been told that the increase in production run has be more toward 10,000 before it really starts to bring the price down. Not sure how reliable that is, but I don't think that the 3000-5000 possibilities would make much difference.

In an era when retail deluxes were closer to $10 each.

They typically cost half-again that much nowadays...

By that standard, you'd expect about $30-45 for each SDCC Deluxe today.

That gets one pretty close to $185 right there....

    Not a record. =(

But if its a folder that explains why it looks like one side is bowed out like a record cover would be.

Well, I still want it, but I agree its overpriced now. $120 would be great, $150 acceptable.

What I was hoping for, and probably would have caused a mass riot with a body count, would have been a re-issue of the G1 dino-bots in cartoon accurate colors as a teaser for a re-issue of the standard g1 dino-bots to tie in with the movie. But sadly just an ether fueled fever dream.

This has got to be the absolutely DUMBEST set I've seen in a long time! Hasbro won't be getting any money out of me for SDCC Transformers this year

    Are your effing kidding me?

What in the name of all that's holy is this crap?

Wow, Hasbro. I guess since you've made a habit of crapping all over your other fan-bases **coughmylittleponiescough** for years now, you've decided to start on the Transformers.

I think they need to drug test their developers a bit more strictly from here on.

One persons dumbest is another persons best. I for one think this is hands down the best SDCC exclusive I've seen, a very unique set that has a great them and isn't just figure with a better or different paint job. I think we got 2 Nemesis Primes through SDCC, which is not what I would consider to be a good thing.

How anybody can have any reaction to this other than putting on a Poison record and rocking out is beyond me. This is a gift from the rock gods.

If they made 10,000 of this they'll never get rid of it. It will stand next to Battle Unicorn on the list of exclusives that never went away. It appeals to a very rabid but very small corner of the fanbase... surely Hasbro was smart enough to realize that.

That makes much more sense. I started thinking, if it really was a record with real songs on it, there would be licensing costs and royalties involved... $185 would start to sound like a bargain.

But I agree, I still want it too. And I'm starting to think I'll have no problem getting it. I really want to know the production numbers on it now.
