Westminster Walmart had their AOE display up finally - Saw most of the wave 1 stuff - deluxes were in smallest numbers but did see 1 slug and 2 scorns. There were 2 sets of Prime/Grimlock Leaders there as well as at least 1 set of the voyagers. They also had 3 Whirls and at least 2 Rhinox. Deluxes were $15 so you are better off getting the voyager/deluxe bundle off their website.

 

As of this afternoon, TRU in Towson had nothin' special and hadn't done the reset. Lots of wave 1 AoE Generations + Evolution Slug (no Strafe). They had the new Kreo sets and blind packs on an end cap (no G1 Grimlock set). There was a tag for MP Grimlock, but none on shelves.

 

Last night Frederick TRU had the shelf tag out for MP Grimlock @ $79.99. There was a AOE Leader Grimlock in the spot. Plenty of Evolution of Slugs and Strafes.

 

Columbia TRU was in the middle of their reset--nothing new on the shelves in the back. I'll probably drop back in tomorrow. Nothing new at Columbia Target either.

 

Owings Mills TRU also hadn't started their front reset.

Hey Sideswipe and Bobbyjack, (or other Frednecks on the board) did either of you notice if Frederick's TRU did their reset yet? I'm trying to set up my travels accordingly today.

Also, as of closing time last night, Ross had a TF Prime voyager Shockwave for $10 if anyone needs one.

 

As of this weekend, no, but I was going to hit there in a little bit since they supposedly have that truck coming today

That Ross Shockwave was there on Friday, so it has been sitting for a while

Hey guys, did I miss Cosmos and Swerve, with all of the MP Grimlock craziness going on?

 

As an update, the Frederick TRU was in the process of setting the area when I got there. They had the Grimlock Kre-O and Grimlock 2 pack, but seemed awfully thin when it came to Deluxes and Voyagers, so nothing wave 2 was out.

There were no new MP Grimlocks, unless they are holding them in the office to limit them.

I saw them once a couple of weeks ago at Target in Frederick and then nothing since.

 

I was planning on hitting the 'neck when I got off work tonight. I saw Cosmos and Swerve at the Germantown and Columbia Targets but that's it.

 

I wish Frederick was closer to where I am in WV. or that the TRU closest to me was any good. I've heard the Bridgeport TRU (thats about 45 min south of me) is crap.

 

Neither Columbia nor Owings Mills has any wave two figs.

How To Fix Grimlock's Loose Joints

Protip: They aren't loose.

When I opened mine and went to grab him from the plastic tray my thumb landed in a big glob of mold release gel. These newer toys seems to slathered in the stuff. I have guesses as to why but they are only guesses. But when I found this mess on the toy and then saw his floppy legs it made me wonder...

So what I just did was open his hips and thighs and rub the joints down with denatured alcohol. I let the parts dry, put them back together and the joints are back to normal.

If you want to do this let me first say that rubbing alcohol isn't enough. Denatured is a lot stronger. The stuff is flammable. It also evaporates really quickly so it's not a danger unless you toss the stuff directly on an open flame like a lunatic. You can buy it in where most paint thinners are sold.

If not that then you can wash the parts THOROUGHLY with dish washing liquid. This cuts the grease but it takes longer to scrub the parts and then to let them dry. But it does work so there's that.

Just don't put the parts in the dish washer.

 

I checked TRU in Frederick last night after work. Someone had put this in MP Grimlock's spot...
