Hey guys and girls, Im new to the toys and wondering which devastator I should try to pick up. Im considering the takara legends ad13. I want something screen accurate and I like that the legends Dev all the pieces have separate bot modes. I would love any advice you guys can give me. Thanks! :)

Sorry! I needed to clarify Im talking about the movie-verse. ;)

LOL at the all 3P Answers. Yes, ad-13 is prob the best way to go.

Presuming you're just interested in the movie Devi go for the Hasbro Legends.

There isn't really that much choice.

stay away from rotf supreme devastator.doesnt stand on its own. nothing porportioned correctly really in combined mode or as individual vehicles. plus they dont turn into individual robots either. id go with a 3rd party g1 style devastator.but i can only speak about rotf. i got him and he kinda sux.thank god i only paid 75 for him at bargain store.

How well does Hercules fit in with the MP line? Specifically Exgraver with Prowl...

    oh... Sorry...

Serous answer, I don't really think there is a "best" movie Devastator but I'm really not someone who can voice a positive opinion on the subject. IF you ever decide you want a Classics Devs though I recommend Green Giant without a moment of hesitation.

+1. As an owner of both TFC's Hercules (at one time) and (still own) MT's Green Giant, I gotta say I have yet to see anything better released than Giant, be it Green or Yellow.

Go for the legends class version. You get the individual bots that both transform AND combine, plus it includes Overload, who was absent in ROTF.

Also, what's w/ all the 3rd party answers? He said movie-verse.

I guess if you HAD to go with Movieverse, your best option is the Legends set. Hercules is still the best Devastator toy by far though. I'll never see the appeal of Giant.

Yeah I'm amused at how many people, myself included, just used this thread as a chance to spout their preference for the 3rd party figures.

So basically Legends or Supreme(?) Class Dev? Not sure if there were any other Dev releases that don't included the non-combiner deluxe/voyagers. If you're looking to impress, I say the Supreme Class one. Legends was good, but it just didn't fit my collection at that time.

The Legends set, particularly the new Lost Age one, is your best bet. One of the best combining Devs, period.

If you do go the Supreme route, the Takara version actually does include red paint aps on the face for a slightly-more screen accurate appearance. I think I'm one of five people outside of Japan that owns that one though and it's really the only difference from the Hasbro version.

If you're talking about movie-verse, then the huge one is the way to go. I bought the Takara Tomy version and there's 'red highlights' on the face.

I know folks complain that the individual vehicles don't transform but that's 'movie accurate'! LOL! Lets not forget we saw two mixmasters.

Personally, I'm a TF nut so that huge Devastor was a must-buy for yours truly. But I must warn you he's not a posable figure.

In terms of G1 aesthetics, I opt for Hercules over Giant because of the size. Hercules scales better and would look decent if one have other 3P combiners like MMC's Feral Rex.
