I've done this to MP primes ankles before and it worked great, but I had to take it apart(wasn't difficult). It's nice to know you don't have to disassemble anything on Grimlock. I ordered mine Wednesday moring from TRU online and it's due to arrive tomorrow. I'll be doing the future trick.

    Thanks for the info!

I'm happy with this reissue. Collecting wasn't my thing when he first came out and I had planned to order the takara reissue when this was announced.

For a first time Grimlock owner, I'm very impressed with the figure. The green doesn't bother me at all. My figure is nice and tight, including the chest with one the exception being the hips.

I'm also slightly annoyed with the visible bubbles on both barrels of his rifle as they are uneven.

By in large, it saved me a bunch of money in acquiring a masterpiece Grimlock and he looks GREAT with my other MP figures!

    Why?

I've done countless TFs with Future, most recently Rhinox's loose hips with nothing but great success. I've also done Hasbro MP Prime's ankles including protecting his chrome with it.

The stuff is dead easy to use and unlike nail polish or super glue impossible to mess up. Search on these boards to see what responses you get from the converts. Try it once and you never go back. The stuff should be in every TF fans arsenal. Don't even need a brush, a toothpick or eye dropper works just as well.

Edit: I too took apart Primes ankles to do it but I actually think it would've worked better had I not.

are you often starring so hard at the tiny blaster's barrells' bubbles that it annoys you? this must take extreme focus and dedication on your part.

    It is hypnotizing, lol.

No, it's just something that annoys me a little. Like I said, I am extremely happy with the purchase.

It's literally nothing more than putting liquid on the joint that when the liquid dries, it's sticky/filling. There is nothing to it.. put a drop on the joint, move it around to spread the liquid.. let dry.

If you were to freak about it.. clean it afterwards with alcohol.

Certainly much safer than the super glue tricks. Here's hoping the material doesn't cause discoloration over time.

Just unscrew and slide the legs off the peg. Apply...( I only needed a tiny bit..). I let dry...put legs back on.

I cannot stress the importance of applying a tiny tiny bit....otherwise you could make it too tight.

    tiny tiny bit

What it looks like with leg off....actually you can remove the entire hip casing ...I only took off one side of the casing to apply.

They should pack him with a brush and kit for 5 bucks more.
    Hobbylock!

Maybe that stuff they use on car headlights would work on his neck and chest?

that's exactly what I posted in my link - it's the stuff you want.

Also note, I think they also make it with citrus scent, so watch out for that.
