I still wanna see Takara MP10 and Takara MP09 in person one day. Just go to Ashley Park in Newnan and bring 'em. I'm there a lot, lol. ...On second though, maybe seeing Takara MP09 would be a bad idea, might make me cave and get one.

Yea I pretty much have a love/hate relationship with this guy. I remember the first time I got him out of the box, he was missing the pin/screw for the hinge that attached his crotch plate to his waist! For awhile i thought it was removable so that it won't drag on the surface when you roll him! I think all his modes are awesome on display but every time you transform him, you're just reminded of all his flaws. I've learned to live with it and he is very photogenic in spite of all the issues.

The only MP's I have were a used Optimus I got at Botcon 2008, as well as an uncapped Megatron (the two Leaders I never had as a kid, were finally mine in MP form almmost 24 years later!).

However, I was surprised just how big they are compared to some of the more recent MP figures. Someone did a comparison pic with the MP Megatron next to Starscream and Soundwave, which made them seem shoulder-height to him. It's definitely made me a feel a little less guilty that I don't own them...

though I think I may soon be plunking down for Grimlock and the upcoming Bumblebee (largely been on the side of the Autobots since I was 4 - the vehicle fan in me).

 

when i saw hasbro's deco of sunstorm today i appreciated the mp-11s from takara so much i ordered one after holding out what has it been...a year at least? now i need to figure out who to put him with when he gets here (i'm thinking kronos when he comes out due to some dreamwave artwork i saw wht was it 10 years or so ago now?) as my 2 seeker shelves are full of the "main" 6. maybe i will throw him in repaint corner (with yoth prime and soundblaster) lol

Agreed about Hasbro Sunstorm.. Man. I was REALLY hoping that it wasn't going to be THAT bad.. I mean. I knew it was going to be kind of bad, but, damn, thye could have at least made those red parts orange so that they would have blended better with the rest of the figure... At least it'll be a good repaint figure.. MAKE MAH OWN DANG OL' SUNSTORM.  

 

Considering today's great news I'll just stick this here.

thanks i didn't notice it on there, that does look strange. I already have the takara one and was planning on getting this one anyway, but now im not sure, he would just stay in the box but....

i really question Hasbro's color department, i know they cheap out on paint apps all the time but their colors are just, i dunno.
