If I get a single Deluxe from the AoE line, it will be Lockdown. I really want him to have a hook, though.

 

Well to be fair, from what we know theres no actual Decepticons in AOE, (unless the garbage truck seen in set the same one from DOTM) Been said that Lockdown is not part of any faction, so he's not a Con, just a bouty hunter nothing more, nothing Else, meanwhile Galvatron, Stinger and the Vehicons are all Man Made Machine built to Destroy the actual Transformers, something like the Sentinels in X-Men which are built to destroy mutants

 

I have problem with everyone. How are we going to get a Lockdown who is the same height as Optimus Prime, but has a smaller vehicle mode? That mass-shifting will never work on TF figures. Might as well be happy to get a Voyager if possible, and even then I doubt it will happen.

On the other hand, hoping we get a 3rd leader, but hell no to bumblebee.

 

Only three Decepticons in the whole movie? One of them is a Bumblebee repaint? When did Cliffjumper change his name and switch sides? Were Hasbro and Michael Bay just sitting around, hanging out? Hasbro says, "You know what people really, REALLY want?" Then Bay was like, "Yeah, more BayFormer Bumblebees." Then Hasbro says, "Of course, but we have an even better idea!. Let's make him red and we can put out twice as many." Bay, using his brainpowers on overdrive to access his limited knowledge of Transformers, says, "Didn't we already do that like a couple movies ago? I think it was Bitzcrumpler or something." Hasbro replies, "Yes, that was CLIFFJUMPER, but we're just gonna make up a name and make him a Decepticon. That way if we need more, we can just repackage the Stingers as Cliffjumper and sell the same exact figure twice. Mwah ha ha ha HA HA HA!!!!."

Saw this and I almost flipped then I saw its only a crappy kids toy.

 

Heck without mass shifting Prime should tower over Lockdown in the movie.

And I'm getting tired of so many sports cars. DOTM could have been called "Everybody has tires" and if it weren't for the Dinobots, AOE would be just as bad. Hound is the only one whose not a a sportscar or semi truck.

Also how many versions of a character does Hasbro think the parents are going to buy their kids?

i've been saying it for a while.. but we REALLY need a tall voyager, or a leader lockdown.

hell, they made a leader class bumblebee, and are repainting it and releasing it in this line.. so, leader class cars aren't unprecedented.

the deluxe will work great in vehicle mode, but the line SERIOUSLY needs a bad guy to oppose prime.. and deluxe lockdown just doesn't work.

small good guys can work well against larger bad guys, like voyager animated prime against leader megatron was great. but huge good guys against small bad guys is just weird.

i'm sure it'll never happen, but from what we've seen of this character, lockdown deserves a larger mold. and if we do get one, i sure as shit hope there isn't a bunch of kibble hanging everywhere like there is on prime. i'm sure a car alt mode would help with that.

dude. Look at the character art. It is the exact same picture but colored yellow and red respectively. The toys will be repaints or at best reshells.

so.. again.. the VEHICLE MODES are not similar.

sure, their robot modes are almost exactly the same.. but i'm assuming there will be an explanation for that in the movie.

now.. if there was a character with a red camaro alt mode, a similar looking robot mode, and wasn't called cliffjumper.. then, feel free to whine, moan, and complain.. but this isn't that instance. so settle down.

stinger clearly has this robot mode first.. so, there's bound to be a reason bumblebee uses it.

 

You don't read what I post, I don't read what you post. I prefer to blindly argue without even figuring out what the other sides point even is or if they are even on another side.

Vehicle modes use reshells. AND I DON'T CARE ABOUT CLIFFJUMPER. THE POINT was how many movie bumblebee toys are there and how many more do we need? I could use more than 3 new movie decepticons. I need another bumblebee (or remold/reshell/repaint) like I need an asshole on my elbow.

 

personally, i don't believe there is any major* mass shifting going on with lockdown in the movie.

lockdown seems much more compact, nuts & boltsy, and lankier than prime is.. their masses just seem to be oriented differently. prime seems to have a lot more beef to him.

plus, we've seen that deluxe animated and rotf lockdown are both deluxes, but in robot mode they're as tall as a voyager.. so, if hasbro gave us a voyager that was able to be stretched out to a leader sized robot.. that'd be great.

i just hope we get more than just prime, grimlock, and a terrible looking repainted bumblebee as leader figures.

Probably nothing, but it's interesting that Hound is referred to as both 'Hound' and 'Autobot Hound'.

If, as some people have said, the addition of the word Autobot is due to licensing restrictions, Shouldn't he always be 'Autobot Hound' in printed documents?

Edit: Maybe it's just the way they are doing it in that section, as they are using the same image for Drift as his 'Autobot Drift' toy, but just referring to him as just Drift.
