Hey fellow collectors, I just wanted to let you know that Big Lots is selling a couple of AOE stuff. It is those crappy Pigg Bank looking figures of Optimus and Bumblebee, but this time there is a third figure....a blue samurai figure. I think its drift. That one looks cool though. There about 9 bucks. They also have those non-transformerable rescue bots for 6 bucks if anyone is interested in them.
Glad for everyone that found MP Grimlock. That is a nice toy. I took mine's chest apart and found the problem with the symbol gimmick. Turned out there was some excess flash that was getting in the way and the tab that pushes it up was actually bent and starting to crack. I was luckily able to bend it back and smooth everything out and now his symbol goes up all the way. Is there any problems with the symbol on this new release?
It's the looser legs that bother me. But I mean for the price, Hasbro $60 versus 3 times that cost for Takara. But I do like the neck of Dino mode on Hasbro. More of a clean greenish translucents. Glad I got both, 1 for each mode. Oh and the crown is plastic. Was it on the first has release? My takara reissue had metal crown
First hasbro release had a plastic crown too. It was chromed, but still plastic. so i went back to tru east and found a case of the blind pack kreons. Freaking awesome assortment. After figureing out which one was Wingspan i bought a second one to make into Pounce. Trypticon needed to be bigger. I wish they would make bigger sets of Metroplex, Fort Max, etc. and have them be a base and then form robots the size of the original kreo run of optimus, starscream, and megatron. Oh, also found the construct bots dinobot riders Hound and Crosshairs at Target on Lomas. Neat little figures. I need to get strafe to see how it all works.
I just heard that those of us who managed to pick up the Masterpiece Grimlock got lucky. The official release date if June 2nd and when they are released then they will have a price tag of $79.99 rather than the $59.99. Glad I was able to score one at $59.99, also Masterpiece Sunstorm is schedule for TRU release sometime in June. My Wal-Mart restocked the Generations Wave 4 Deluxes and a bunch of the AOE One-Step figures. No AOE Deluxes unfortunately. Also, more Generations Whirls and Legends Prime and Bee. But still no Swerve or Cosmos! Wow.
I picked up a second Grimlock, so if anyone does decide they want it, I'll sell it for the pre-hike price.
.....wait, Grimlock's an extra $20 in price now!? Dammit. Now Skrapnel and Tailgate are showing up in the states. Any sign of them in ABQ?
