what they could have done should have been similar to prime. sell him without the trailer and sell one that has the trailer.

C'mon, how can you blame Magnus for not being able to store cars, he's a transformable statue, not a full-blown toy.

Great picture - really shows off the articulation of the figure. I still think the arms look completely gimped hanging off his back, but at the end of the day, it's near perfect, especially for such a small toy.

For the first time ever, they finally made a proper G1 Ultra Magnus figure that represents the character the way he actually was - as a SINGLE bot. It would be great to see what they could do with a larger plastic version using this same engineering.

Wow, fantastic! I can't wait to get him, but June? With how fast these have been coming out, that seems like an awfully long time.:redface2:

Damn that's nice. Don't really like how the waist shows in vehicle mode though.

I must be missing something here - where does it say June is the release date?

I was under the impression that this guy was going to be released somewhere around April... at the same time as War Within Megatron since they're apart of the same wave. And IIRC, this version of Magnus is actually supposed to be out *before* the WW version.

Well, it DOES look like he stores LOCs. And probably Minicons too.

I'll make him the Night Rescue Team's chaperone! They CAN deal with stuff, and he CAN'T! The perfect pairing!

Amazing how 19 years can make the original toy of such an iconic character look like even more crap that it really is. That is beautiful. Sorry Rodimus, Magnus beats you hands down for the best looking Titanium figure...

Somewhere, deep in a forgotten closet, is a memo.

    "Titaniums--
    Soundwave--fix hip size
G1 Magnus--add slidebar to move shoulders forward"

    ;)

But yeah, he looks very cool. And has thighswivels!

I concur. Apart from the tweaked forearms and a few paint differences, it looks like the same fig to me too.

I'm not big on the cartoon, so I get my ideas of UM from the original toy. Therefore, I still think this guy falls short for not having an inner robot. But I understand that's extremely nit-picky, and not feasible for a toy like this.

Look nice, but I don't think I'll buy him.

That month is from my data. If my list is correct, he is in the wave following the War Within Magnus. Again, IF my list is correct, the saturation date given by Hasbro was June. My list may very well be off.

I'd add a way to fold the torso details into the cab, for a start, so as to leave a flat surface where the torso was. Or even better, a way to fold it the other way so that it'd act as a cover for the robot's pelvis and thighs and form a completely flat surface. Then I'd make the blue leg "armor" like the original magnus, without the inner bit, and lay the white inner bits flat instead of diagonally like here. That'd solve every problem I see with the inside.

Magnus has always had the short end of the stick. Even G1 Magnus was just a monkey suit for Prime. He finally has his own G1 accurate toy!

It hasnt taken too long....I am sick of white and blue primes with no extra armour...

If hasbro are going to do white prime then they must do the blue armour otherwise whats the point?? your just wasting my time....

I think prime made the right choice! ultra prime??? magnus prime??? lol
    this is just fantastic...
