Have no intention of using this as a pen, but I do think the bot mode looks really cool. May have to wait on seeing colored pictures and/ or a review before I decide to spend that much on this guy.
So lets just hope the Japanese preorders don't sell out too fast. Like hell I'm paying $55 for a pen. And then another in black.
If I was still waiting tables, this would be the most bombtastic pen. The envy of pens amongst all waiters!
I'm glad it releases in September. I was worried it would come out in the middle of all this summer movie toy craziness, and I wouldn't be able to afford it. But September is juuuust right.
I bet the real price is more like $25. Considering what some pens cost at Staples... haha BBTS always jacks it up.
It better come in a nice box like those pens at Staples then but if you want a pen just to write, it's cheap
Can anyone translate the text in the posted picture? Any idea about what material this will be made of (plastic? Painted plastic? Diecast?)
I think it's safe to say that it's a 'specialty transforming action figure' price and not a 'functional pen' price.
The more I look at it, the more I realize the bot to pen transformation really isnt much of a transformation...They should have at least made him into a long truck shaped pen.
meh Price is too high. if it had been $25-$35 before shipping i may have bought one but $55 is just too much.
When I seen BBTS put up that preorder page for that pen I almost layed an egg,I mean JEEZ $55 for a transforming pen is about OUTRAGEOUS AS HE**,that thing better be able to transform itself for that price or close to it.So in conclusion that price will make sure I won't be getting this.
Yeah, $35 was the ceiling of what I thought reasonable. Fifty five is pretty ludicrous. The toy is really neat, and would be an interesting addition to my collection. My pockets just aren't that deep.
