    Yes I noticed this yesterday; I wanted one with less pressure marks and it turned out to be the redder one.

    I prefer the Takara one by a mile but out of them the redder one is more eye catching

    Not quite the same in the UK.

    in the us the Leaders are $44.99, in the UK they are £44.99

    If pre-ordered the Takara Leader would have been something like $60

    Which is about £37

    Kind of wish I had pre-ordered it.

    I know that folks said they were getting the dark variant at Target... well, today at my local TRU (Secaucus, NJ) they had two leader OPs on the shelf. One was dark red, one was light red. Right next to one another. I grabbed the dark one, because I already have the light one.. which i got at Walmart.

    But wouldn't it be something if light and red versions were shipping in the same cases?

    i like the lighter one. maroon isn't a color i like.

    Hmm. This is odd. I bought the brighter colored one at Target, while the local Walmart has the darker one. I've seen the darker one at TRU as well.

    I ordered mine through amazon and got the bright red version. Wish I had gotten the darker one since I've been repainting mine.
