I really hope its not Starscream. I feel like if there's not a good twist to this the story would've been a bit wasted.

 

if they go with starscream and rattrap, i'd say that's the cheapest way to go. i really don't like the whole starscream the great villain notion. there's really more to do with him now as the elected leader of cybertron. but then again, i don't expect much of this comic i doubt scott can surprise us.

unless it turns out that it was ironhide all along.

exactly that. if it was starscream it would be a cheap easy cop out. of course because of his past they all assume its him but i think at this point starscream isn't hated by the majority. in the last MTMTE issue rattrap was telling him his popularity with the people are up. he has NO reason to bomb anything like some terrorist. the planet is his. i still have a nagging suspicion it could be chromia.

still not sold on the art though. i dont feel its transformer art. its more like deviantart type of art. i dont think it fits and i wish the artist all the luck with other comics but i hope shes not a regular on another tf series.

 

Hmm... the art doesn't appear to be holding up to the demands of the release schedule... and it's only #2.

Hope Sarah Stone finds a good balance... she's capable of great stuff, but a monthly title seems to be hurting her work. It looks a lot rougher, with more awkward compositions and postures.

Yeah. It's rushed.

The first issue probably had more time to pull out all the stops graphically... it looked more refined. This stuff is one step beyond oekaki sketches. She has the skillz, but part of being a comic book artist is keeping it together on a schedule.

She does her own digital painting, so that probably eats up time that most pencillers don't have to worry about so much (or does she get paid for both?)... but it feels like the linework and compositions are getting sloppy, and the digi-painting is trying to cover for that.

That can work in some cases... Cary Nord's run on DH's Conan for example. But it's not quite happening here.

The art isn't quite as polished looking this time around, but it's still colored gorgously. Starscream grabbing Windblade's wound, is such a Starscream thing to do.

I too think Screamer is going to be a red herring. About the bombing. He's still a bastard.

Oh, yay, Waspinator lives. Also funny to see Blurr being so irritated they weren't buying drinks.

 

Oh my god Chromia is a babe. She is badass, love her.

Art is rougher but still good, last two pages gave me a good laugh. I think this is still going to be great.

 

The art work is cute.

 

I really like how unpredictable this story is turning out...is Starscream behind it all..or is he a red herring.

They're making us guess, they're doing their job well.
