MP-10 reissue is the best news I've had in a while. I bought a YOTH Prime to customize, but I think I'll just put him up for sale. I never cared about MP-11, but if AE or NY have the typical 30% preorder discount I guess I'll throw one in and ship it when MP-10 comes in.

 

Thinking about doing the same, although that's a huge amount of money to throw at doubles. And in MP-10's case, a triple. I'm just not sure. Plus if I get a double of Starscream, I'll want a double of all the Seekers. And I still dont have MP-04, Sleep Convoy, or TT Skywarp and Thundercracker.

I agree w/ both of you about the aesthetics of what a potential "Generations" Titan Omega should look like. I just believe that an Omega Supreme, who's only shared quality with 30th Metroplex is their height, would be a perfect "stand-in" for MP collectors. I've always used "CHUG" figures (like BB, 'Jumper, and Warpath) as stand-ins, and think using Generations for the larger 'bots (like Omega) would just help in the long run for those of us looking for larger figures in-scale w/ MP-10. (not to mention being easier on our wallets than an outright "Masterpiece")

 

Probably not something you need then, if it's just for doubles.

I never picked up an MP-10, so that's a hole in the collection that got cheaper to fill. I never picked up MP-11 either, I'm quite happy with all 6 of the igear PP-03 jets. I don't normally max out on the seekers, I just collect Skywarp and Thundercracker when I'm not buying MP's. I made an exception for the iGear set since it was all 6. If MP-11 is cheap enough then I would do it, it's a decent hedge bet for me if they end up doing SW, TC, and the coneheads. All I really want are MP-11 mold SW & TC to go with my existing MP6, MP7, and Hasbro TC&SW, but I'll throw more money their way for Starscream if he's a decent price (100-ish), especially since I'll pick up the Hasbro Sunstorm if that rumor turns out to be true.

 

So what Takara is saying is that 2015 will be the year of the MP Con - I'm game. Takara however will have to build MP shockwave in gold for it to surpass Quakewave.

 

Yeah, I can't see myself giving up Quakewave even if they do an awesome Shockwave. Even if he's as cool as Soundwave turned out, I don't see how he could have the heft, the metal ratcheting joints, or the amount of diecast. I could see them doing electronics, but that's probably the last thing I think about when I see QW.

I know everyone is thinking new molds, but Skywarp and Thundercracker would be the obvious choices to quickly and easily boost the Destron numbers, and obviously there's 3 more modified seekers they could do. Another cassette pack would be welcome too, Slugfest and Overkill shouldn't be that hard to do.

 

Ever since before SoundBlaster was announced, I've been saying HasTak needs to make more cassette 2-packs. I always thought sets of Overkill/Slugfest, and Squawktalk/Beastbox should be easy money.

 

I was ready to drop the dollars for Mp 10 this weekend! Now they announce a reissue....what to do? Play the waiting game? Or bite the bullet?

man i think i need another takara mp-10 for posterity if AE has that 30% off thing they do. i have the hasbro as a misb backup right now but...it just ain't the same man! wonder how much i could still get for it with this news though....i'm sure there are still some that prefer the hasbro deco though.

I've seen people defend the lack of detailing as "cartoon accurate" so I'd imagine some folks would flip their shit if the reissue was different.

I'm definitely playing the waiting game. Optimus Prime is a character I've never really cared for, character or design, and have tended to own due to whom he is more than anything, really! As such, it was a very easy decision to pass him when he was first announced given I already had MP-04 ...a decision which I've changed due to the new direction of the MP line more than anything and even then I only purchased him because the Hasbro version was going for only £100 in Toys'r'us.

It's the waiting game for me, definately.

This is what I think will more than likely happen as well, it will be such a troll but the obvious thing to do given they are actually different characters ala the Datsun bros and like you said bolster up the decepticon ranks easily. And they also have lots of repaint potential, greenstorm, ass-storm and IneversawyouintheG1cartoon-storm!?

 

These are my latest MPs for the month..MP3G, MP08, MP09, MP13b..waiting on MP12G now.

I may be looking for a set of KO cassettes so Soundblaster can have minions too, I already own a legit set, don't want to buy em twice lol.
