Ha ha, there's some truth to this. Yesterday I went hunting for AOE figures. Both Target and Walmart had nothing out. I had to ask for them to go to the back and find the figures, which they did. I know this is due to how bad DOTM sold. Honestly, seeing how low the fan excitement is for AOE, I wouldn't be surprised to see figures dropped like they were in DOTM.

I think the ball was dropped a few years back and never recovered and now the damage is done. I hope I'm wrong, but I sense a halt coming for the movie lines, be that TF 5 and 6.

Hasbro does well to follow the rules.of a globalised economy.
There is a bigger chance to sell merchandise if you put an effort in rising economies, then there where the brand is already established.

I like how we've seen so many shots of Grimlock's robot mode. I'm guessing there isn't one.

Yeah, it seems us Americans are lazy, penny-pinchers. Many just will not pay major ticket prices, but prefer to just download the torrents and watch badly-handheld shaky video multiple times (and even though it's free, complain the guy committing piracy isn't holding the camera steady enough)...unlike the rest of the world who will she'll out hundreds for the theater experience.

Us Americans ALWAYS get the good stuff, so when we finally don't and another country gets a chance it's suddenly unfair? Yeah, okay...

Hasbro: "We gave you Cybertron Monday...that's kind of a form of 'acknowledging you.'"

Investing heavily in marketing in a market your brand is already well-known and heavily successful can be a poor return on investment.

Hasbro has nothing to do with what the stores get for product or their displays. That's up to the stores themselves.

Looks nice, but I'll have to see the robot mode before I'll preorder. What's the MSRP?
