Im assuming they will do one of these 3 things
1. Lockdown is the shockwave of this movie and glavatron is the main villian much like how sentinel was in dotm
2. Lockdown is the main villian and gets killed by..... CADE, i think the lockdown kicking primes ass scene and him attacking cade scene are the same cause u see optimus' unconcious body in the background and i think cade will pull a sam and kill lockdown like how sam killed megatron.
3. Lockdown survives, this is hinted at in an interview with bay about how like you said lockdown's ships is important in other films, must it be flying then?
those are my thoughts

 

I'm hoping for number three. It would really add a lot of story development over the next few films. It would also give the filmmakers a chance to give Lockdown some character development.

agreed.. i don't think the same thing that happened with shockwave will happen with lockdown.. clearly he's in a decent amount of the movie, and it looks as though he's capturing autobots.. and i think the fan fare shockwave got was to keep hiding sentinels intentions.

i would also HATE it if lockdown gets killed by a human.. it pissed me off in the first movie, and it'd make me angry again.

i will never be able to get over what prime said at the end of the first movie. at the end, once SAM kills megatron, prime says "you left me no choice brother".. are you kidding me? prime was getting his ass whooped and was yelling to sam to finish him off.. ugh.. it's just so lame.

another line that annoyed me was when prime said "at the end of this day, one shall stand and one shall fall".. and prime immediately gets thrown into a building. seriously, prime was no match for megatron in the first movie.

anyways.. i kind of hate rooting for the bad guys sometimes, i feel like i don't get into it as much lol. it definitely makes the autobots victory at the end less exciting. but lockdown is just so cool, you can't help but root for him.

 

Yeah, I get what you mean. But I've always loved the Decepticons. I always root for them but yet always feel happy when the Autobots win. The best thing that they could do would to let Lockdown win.

Then, if he turned out to be Unicron's minion, I would want an epic story arc over the next few films. Then a final showdown between Lockdown and Prime at the end of TF5. Then in TF6, Unicron feels no choice but to attack Prime directly leading to the story of TF6.

But I digress. I want Lockdown to put up more of a fight than that weak Megatron. I want him to be given proper amount of screen time - yet actually have the audience care for him in some way or another - even though he is bad.
