So in the trailer, Tessa screams "Bumblebee!" and Bumblebee responds with his usual robotic wirring noises. Because this exchange seems to be taking place during the climactic battle in China, that would seem to indicate that he's still mute throughout the entire film unlike some have speculated whereby he obtains a voice through some sort of human intervention.

Sure, one could argue the point. It's just the trailer. The sound clip may have taken place at a different time in the movie from what was being shown onscreen. I get it... But unfortunately I think they're just gonna stick with R2B2. A shame, I was really hoping for Dan Gilvezan. What a thrill that would have been for us G-winners (who still like the movieverse).

 

I don't even know if there is a voice Actor cast for Bumblebee.

 

Mark Ryan's still around, he can do some last-minute voice or something.

 

Completely agreed. I'm glad Bumblebee's mute again, personally. I just like that take on the character; it makes him more kid-friendly and cute to me.

Both of these statements are your opinion. I respectfully disagree with both, as I hated Will Friedle's voice for Bumblebee and I like the mute concept.

I'm indifferent to whether Bee is a mute of not, I like Bumblebee a lot though.

 

I definitely don't want Mark Ryan, nor do I want a teenaged sound like Will Friedel. I guess if they aren't going to get Gilvezan mute bee is okay.

 

I know there are only two little clips of Bumblebee's "voice", but when he leaps from that massive ship you can sort of hear a voice under his weird whirring. Maybe he can talk now, but because his voice box is still damaged he's "wheezy", if you will.

I heard the same thing, especially immediately after Tessa yells "Bumblebee!"

You hear him do one of his whines, but there's a stronger voice beneath that.

 

You mean, like, how there was something sounding like a "Yeah!" after he killed Rampage in RoTF and a "Thank you." after Mikaela told him he got a nice shot on Brawl? If so, then I agree.

 

Maybe an in-between, like someone speaking with an Electrolarynx?

it doesn't take place in China or Hong Kong. That's Chicago. If you look around, you see the UBS building. You also see the building that Starscream and Megatron were standing on in ROTF.

 

I don't care who voices Bee, but it has to be fitting.

Because it was shot in Chicago. It's meant to be Hong Kong. There are even set pics where they changed up the streets to make it look like that. They didn't do a particularly great job at it though.

I'm sick of mute Bee. At this point, I don't care who voices him as long as SOMEONE does. This faux2D2 crap needs to die.
