From the trailer where Optimus is shot and we see galvatrons arm, it appears that the arm does indeed transform into the gun

I gotta say, this is easily one of my favorites of this line so far.

I mean yeah it's a backpackformer but it pulls it off in such a way that it doesn't cause any weight problems.

 

Got my HTS shipment today containing Galvatron - evasions Optimus- leader Grimlock and scorn. Only opened Galvatron so far.......


I really like this figure. Simple transformation, awesome alt mode and I really like his robot mode.

The shell forming is kinda cool... And the backpack does not feel out of place to me.


I would recommend getting this figure!

 

Plus, isn't it how a human would design a first Transformer anyway? A simplistic design that just works?  

 

kind of like and kind of dont but will purchase first to see, the idea of the shell is cool but looks a little odd. i think painting this guy silver would make it tons better. wonder what takara will do.

 

You know...Yea..I whined..But until I SEE this one in the store, I take back my pissy whiny comments, and reserve judgment until then.

I seen Evaision prime and grimlock, and both looked WORLDS better than on this computer screen.

Still looks like some...evil shrek that is afraid of the sun or something.

And theres really a big ol' hole in the chest right? why did they not grab some of those LEDs from that horrible Powerizer gimmick, and put one in there, orange, and make this guy REALLY unique?

I still like to see ques on the bot form of what it TFs into..but this movie, even more than the others seems to be tossing that stuff out.

 

I might change my mind on him but for now Galvatron is a no. Mainly because we went from DoTM Megs, which is a toy with soooooo much personality (especially if you get his gun from shapeway) to this guy who seems so bland.

This might be one of the first times ever I get more Aubobots than decepticons

 

After watching the latest trailer, I sort of get Galvtron's look now, Iron Man looking chest with all the cables.

Still not impressed with the toy design though.

 

If this was molded in dark grey plastic(like on Octane BB's arms or Striker Optimus) and had a few select silver paint apps, it would look way better. As is it's bland which is a shame because I want this but am holding back due to the colors.

 

I'm sure he'll get a sweet recolor down the way, it's what I'm waiting for.

I'd also like if Grimlock got the Predaking treatment and kept getting new molds.

 

Yeah, same here. I think I will hold out for the TakaraTomy versions...if its the same. Its a pity we're not getting a Leader Class version of him.

 

Got mine today, he's a bit boring, kinda looks like Movie 1 FAB Megatron in robot mode, but at least the alt mode is nice. Wish there was more to it. What's with the hole in the middle of the chest though? A cavity yes, but a hole you can see the backpack through?

 

Shaved down the peg on the gun... it slides perfectly in his arm. Not totally there...but gives more of a galvatron/Megs look.

 

This is so ugly, its own bio doesn't want to mention his name.

 

You just need to rough Galvatron up a bit to bring out his awesome fricken Qualities.
