Its not hard to get them right. Remove the spikes and some of that mess of teeth from Grimlocks head and you have a Grimlock.. Remove a head from swoop and you have swoop why the hell give him 2 heads ? Remove 99% of the spikes from all the dinobots and you will have the dinobots.. WTF is it with Bays designers and spikes ? There is suppose to be a guy named Spike in Transformers not have spikes all over characters. Even Sludge has spikes now for cripes sake lol.. WTF he looks like a porcupine .. Im all for change but damn that's not change that's awful..

Didn't you just says a few posts back that sludge wasn't a dinosaur because it had the wrong head ? Well grimlock has the wrong head so that's not a T-rex lol

    Nope, wasn't me.

Besides, I don't find the spikes or two heads a problem. Thats my opinion, but these movies have established themselves as different from the very beginning. Think of the characters as being inspiration for the re-imagining of the Dinobots. No one here owns the Transformers or is entitled to anything we get. It's embarrasing how much people complain about their beloved cartoon. Spikes or no spikes, these are dinobots, which are mechanical stylized dinosaurs, which are transformers, which is the end of the story.

For you maybe lol... People complain because it is just that Their Beloved Cartoon/characters that we have grown up on for the past 30 years .. New fans don't get that. We all get over it because there is nothing to do about it but right now we are allowed to complain about it here. Im all for change I like the majority of the movie designs but the dinobots could have been done a lot better then just throwing spikes on them.

Ironic that Bay finally relented and is willing to allow that the Dinobots can exist as part of this more 'realistic' take on the franchise, but maybe he just needed the right angle. I'm happy that the Dinobots take a little while to accept their place as co-heroes just like in the G1 version. In fact I always got the feeling that if they'd been slightly more intelligent they would have just told the Autobots to piss off and left the Ark for good. Anyway, like most I'm curious to see how these guys will make it to the screen- fairly in tact or sent through the Bay-machine kicking and screaming.

The 80's cartoon was nothing more than a thinly disguised commercial for the toys, nothing more. It still had FAR more character development when introducing new characters than the movies have, so far.

Brontosaurus was still being taught in elementary schools at least until early 80's.
