I didn't even notice that the Constructbots Grimlock looks kinda like the unused G2 deco... That makes me kinda want that set now... maybe. I have to admit it would be a must-have if it was used on a regular Grimlock mold. Say on a repaint of the Classics mold.

Kind of interested in the FOC Grimlock, but I already have the standard and TRU Bruticus versions, so it may be a "if hits clearance" item for me. Probably worth saving the money and putting it towards the Fireblast version instead or something.

Nothing too exciting yet IMO from the exclusives, but I'm sure there are some goodies that some will enjoy in these oddball repaints.

 

I think Walmart fared best for the exclusives this go round.

 

And K-mart has fared the worst XD

Walmart: Beast Wars repaints and legion toys
Toysrus: Platinum sets with chrome and specialty dinobot packs
Target: Grimlock repaints with silver knight Optimus stuff.
K-mart: A non-transforming Optimus toy with electronics.

Well they got Energon Checkpoint, Universe Crystal Widow, and a bunch of classics minicons including that nifty taxi one. But yeah, considering how many years those were spread over, they don't exactly get much. They're kind of the red-headed stepchild of retailers.

 

I love this set, it's so hilarious. I like the G1 Grimlock, and the silver Prime is just nuts. haha

 

I need that Grimlock. I've never had the deluxe Prime so that's a plus.

 

Fair point, those are definitely two things I've vaguely thought about getting on EBay, which is more than you can say of most early-'00s toys.

Looks like Hasbro rediscovered chrome.  

 

Well at least with this G1 deco, it looks fairly good and maybe i can avoid having to buy the JPN G1 version of TF4 Grimlock.

 

May have to get that FOC Grimlock

 

That Grimlock actually looks good with the chrome, and though I don't mind that Optimus mold, yeah, WTH is with all that chrome?
