I don't know where TFsource and bbts source their particular wrap, but this will serve the purpose of protecting your MP's from dust exposure:

Cellophane, Cellophane Wrap in Stock - ULINE

This type of cellophane wrap is usually also available at most larger craft stores. It does break down over time (becomes brittle), so you will need to re-wrap every few years or so depending on the storage environment. Keep in mind that it does not offer UV protection against fading due to direct sunlight exposure.

Local floral shops may also be able to provide you with a supplier or sell to you direct.

There is no permanent storage solution beyond a hard acrylic or plexiglass case. Mylar is used extensively for storage in the comic book field in various chemistry compositions and even the finest of those archival materials need to be changed out periodically.

Afa uses a plastic wrap that seems pretty good as well. Have you tried emailing bbts, tfsource or afa to ask them?

I remember back in HS, in the cooking class, we had a plastic bag maker. YYou use some kind of thick saran wrap and then use a use rod, similiar to a hair straightener to melt and seal off the plastic. Try looking for that?

i think i'll just ask them.. wouldnt hurt. like when buying collector grade tf fr either place, i have them permanently in there. it wouldnt make sense to change them out and there is no service out there that does that. afa cases are awesome but when i got so many to bag,
    the price goes skyhigh

I think you are missing my point. There is no "soft" storage solution that can be used for permanent long term storage. The wrap used by TFsource and BBTS is not secret NASA-grade plastic and it does not increase the value of your MP figure. It is simply intended to offer a little extra protection in the near-term for an item that was sold as collector grade at a premium price. There is no service available to change it out because you can do it yourself. When soft plastics start to degrade (and they ALL do), the chemical breakdown is trapped inside with the item you are trying to preserve. When this happens, it stops protecting your collectible and may start to damage the item, ironically.

If you are looking to preserve something such as a sealed MP for the next 20-40 years in soft plastic, you need to understand the critical importance of keeping the storage medium fresh.
