STOP IT! It's a fucking film! Boo-Hoo it ruined your childhood. The film doesn't need to cater to what YOUR almighty vision of what the TF lore is. Michael Bay, the writers, and Steven Spielberg HAVE EVERY RIGHT to change and "Ruin" (So to speak) your childhood! Hasbro, the OWNERS and CREATORS of Transformers, let him do whatever he wants. HASBRO has the final say of what a TF movie should be like, not you. Do you OWN the brand? NO! You worship and take the brand far more seriously then the creators of the brand. Far more seriously than we take the movies that you claim we "worship"!!!

Maybe if you visited the movie forums, where we joke and have a good time, (Until you guys come in) you'd actually see that there are more reasons we like this film. (NOT necessarily Michael Bay, as there are more people who work on these films that "Ruin" them) You might even see a well thought out post! Please stop going into a thread that involves something you hate and ruining our fun just because you want to shove it down our throats that the movies suck and your precious series is better. Yes we all (or most of us) know they are not the most well-made films and could be better. But that doesn't stop me from liking the first one. Welcome to the wide world of OPPINIONS.

People like you guys started this debate once again. Just because you can't stomach something that a man admiring his brother said something positive about something that you despise so much to the point were it's a mental and diagnosable obsession to pan and hate the movies and anyone who likes them!

My father was a soldier for 25 years, and I don't question his actions (not because I choose to be blind and ignore it) as I always know that he is a family man first and has always done his best by us. While I won't pretend to know what Larry Cullen did in his time of service, I have a feeling that Peter holds his brother in a similar standing that I hold those in my family whom served their country with the idea of defending those who can't. 1984 Prime was in a cartoon that couldn't show certain levels of violence at the time. Nobody died (except Alpha Trion that I recolect) for two seasons. Things have changed in the media in order to modernize. Death happens. "Good guys" kill. I've never seen it any other way.

Here's how I remember it: the great Mr Cullen doing a VoiceOver explaining what everybody's been doing since last movie. A bunch of NEST soldiers swarming on an unassuming dumb Decepticon hiding out in a construction site. It sees a bunch of guns coming at it and freaks out and goes on a crazy blind rampage. Enter Badass Prime falling out of a plane, & a crazy chase scene ensues. They take it down, but it's not dead. Instead of capturing it & interrogating it, prime gives him "last words", and shoots it in the head.
Later on during his de-briefing, he informs NEST what the Con said. When they ask him "What's The Fallen?" Prime basically says "I dunno". Maybe he should've put the gun away and brought it in for questioning after all lol

Not as heroic as I'd want in Optimus. But I understand it's not MY movie. It's Mr Bay's. War is war, I get that. But the war was technically over. Whatever tho. Just seemed a bit over the top. And the fallens face getting ripped off. These were scenes made by Bay to make prime a super badass, amongst others. I don't hate these movies really, their CGI is rightfully incredible, and the action scenes are great(if a bit "graphic"-they're just robots to Bay anyway). It's just their plots aren't that great, & characterizations aren't very good for the actual title characters. And that ultimately falls on Bay. It's his weak spot. He's an action filmmaker. He shoots fast, & doesn't take time for retakes, & keeps his scripting easier for him to film his style. Hopefully this next movie does better. But from what I've seen it's not shaping up that way lol

All this hot air bullshit aside, I love Peter Cullen, his Voicework, how dear he holds his voice characters (ever hear how hurt he was when they replaced him as Eeyore?) and I can't imagine another person voicing prime for these movies. So thanks mr Cullen. And Frank Welker too.

Yes, one Autobot (Ironhide) and a bunch of ants with pea shooters. Yeah, that would freak out the Decepticon who nearly trashed said ants with their pea shooters in all of 30 seconds of transforming. And, oh... what's this? Demolisher is nearly 4 times the size of Ironhide?

Some freak out huh. Super timid that one.

As to everyone else, the last two pages have been awesome (except for some people who toss words around like "psychopath" and complain about movie threads while still somehow managing to not avoid them whatsoever) and I thank you all for your logical posts.

Food for thought: If we're psychopaths, why are we the first ones to get insulted for having an opinion in a thread that isn't liked anyway when the thread could... I don't know, simply be avoided?

Alright that’s enough, everyone. Look… the news post was about the relationship of Mr. Cullen and Optimus Prime. I gave it a front page attention since Mr. Cullen is a hero to me and to me he is the heart and soul of the Franchise.

For 30 years he did an important thing as Optimus Prime. And that lesson my friends... is peace and friendship. Which is exactly the opposite you guys are doing now.

So, Stop this bickering before I close the thread. We are all part of the same franchise. We've come a long way; 30 years. We should be proud. All of us. We came this 30 years because of our unity. You of all… should understand this.
