Dont worry, it will return. I think the developers mindset is here that it goes without saying that competitive MP will return, so they didnt even feel the need to announce it. Afterall, the guys who do Call of Duty every year dont need to announce that there will be competitive multiplayer, do they?
No, not at all some people are just happy with anything. But as good as the campaign was with FOC it still under performed. So this crap is bound to have a low review score and flop this Summer.
Oh, I understand where you are coming from. But then why talk about escalation? They just skip over competitive MP in the descriptions. They also talked about having ONE upgrade path that would be for all game modes, meaning that there is no classes like in the last game. I may be wrong, but I think it's safe to assume that MP might not be returning.
Because escalation returning wasnt a save bet like competitive multiplayer. DOTM didnt have escalation. You are reading faaaar too much into that statement they gave, it was just a statement to announce escalation and that your character progression from singleplayer would factor into that.
So we're supposed to accept that this big cross-over with the movieverse occurred in one day? I mean Fall of Cybertron took place over the course of six days. Not much time could've passed between the construction of the Nemesis and the destruction of Shockwave's space bridge. Ditto on the graphics. Maybe they'll look alright in-game.
Correction: 6 Earth days but we only see 3 Cybertron days. (Do we know how long Cybertron days are?) I wouldn't worry about it too much seeing as how only about half the game takes place in the FOC universe anyway, I'm sure they've thought it through.
Enough with these bloody bland 40 second trailers for the love of God. Let's gave some actual game-play footage that isn't sporadic and is actually longer than 40 seconds.
I'm saddened by the fact that we never got an FoC Megatron figure. I'm quite fond of the design (his sword is bloody epic looking). The game looks decent so far, hopefully a demo is released soon, if at all.
