Re: that rumoured leader megatron, it will probably be the previous design since hasbro said a while back that all generations toys would have earth modes so they can be more easily repainted. Which we're seeing right now with the skids mould being used for the sonic, that wouldn't have worked if he'd had a cybertronian form.

 

Guess that s a indirect confirmation that the Sonic is no Transformer...

For a placeholder pic it s to real. And I don t think Hasbro has any license issues for another GM car, to repaint another character for the Movie character. Even if they had they would change some parts in Car Mode but create a unique Robotmode. There never were two completly different molds in one line. And if they wanted to they would rather do another One Step Changer.
One more evidence: the idw design is not simmilar with the bay design.
Only possibility a chronicle package like trilogy optimus or megatron for dotm.

Sad... I was really looking forward for a Sonic toy/ transformer.

Last advice when they do a repaint with rally colours why don t they use the mold of dotm mudflap with an alternate had. The spark would have looked much more screen accurate than this car. Wait... if they don t its a great idea for a custom... too bad I have not any experience with that...

I didn't read through the entire thread so sorry if this has been said already, not trying to make waves, but my girlfriend is a manager at a TRU and I asked her to look at this listing and asked what she thought. What she said was kind of interesting. She said that no where on TRU's computer system do they have photos of any products....Ever. She was wondering what system you are looking in because she has never seen any TRU computer listings like the ones shown in photos one and three with the picture of the Transformer figures in it.

 

He works in the home office, not at a store.

Also, to be perfectly clear, these listings do not at all mean that the Generations Leaders will be TRU exclusives. This is just the computer listing for the items. I would fully expect them to be a wide release.

I'm trying everything to prove that the DOTM repaint Leader Class Bumblebee is not the 3rd Leader class for AOE toy line, but I can't find anything except I think the box is wider, the Mech Tech Weapon is missing and the design for Bumblebee's name is different from the box of Leader Class Optimus and Leader Class Grimlock.

 

Good luck. You'll fail. Hasbro already proved otherwise at the Australian Toy Fair.
