Hopefully this guy at least approaches Kick-Off levels of screaming orange and ditch the blue windows.

 

It's still of quite decent quality, disregarding the "lightness" factor of it. Unless they plan on using this mold in the souvenirs, which I'm kind of doubting (unless it's a cop-out Super Fire Guts Ginrai), I think the same people would have been more than happy either way, while maybe some of those who were bummed about another use for the classics Prime mold might "come over" and be a bit happier about the overall choice.
And a 3rd Shattered Glass Prime would just be sad. I think they're better than that.

Also did anyone read Ginrai's bio in the brochure? The part about him commanding Autobots/Maximals? Looking forward to a BW mold/character!!

 

Yeah, I put it out there on the Allspark that I'd like to see Apelinq made from Prid Magnus. It's a custom I've wanted to make for quite a while. Walky whipped up a quick and dirty digibash.

 

I just mentioned this in the brochure thread. I hope this will finally give us Silverbolt from BH Dreadwing. He's a very knightly character..

 

I saw that, not a bad idea. What's awesome is Apelinq would be so fitting as one of the Knights. Still can't help but think it'd be from that BWX mold as it already has the surf-board that could get that cool "circuitry" deco, and it would actually be a beast mold for the big celebration. Also, what about the possibility of the aforementioned Beast Hunters Optimus? Or maybe Beast Hunters Magnus instead?

 

Still think Generations Armada Starscream fits that more than perfect, but would accept a BH Dreadwing repaint/head remold.

 

A lot stems with the feet on Dreadwing being perfect for Silverbolt.

 

That was my argument to a buddy of mine until we both came to the conclusion that the swords on the wings AND the shoulder-mounted missile launchers on the Gen Armada Starscream would probably pull it off a little better. Especially with a new head either way.

 

I think both could work as silverbolt but i would rather have BH dreadwing as him as most of the maximals seem to be prime toolings now and for the very selfish reason of I don't have a BH Dreadwing so no doubling up on a tooling on my shelves.

 

I have an kinda unrelated question: Is Headmster Skorponok's new mold Energon Skorponok or Cybertron Dark Skorponok?

hot damn! that I would plunk my money on in a heartbeat! Come on' Takaratomy, make it a Tokyo Show Exclusive!   we already got Black Hunter Nemesis Prime and the regular Beast Hunters one, a Fire Guts insired one with orange chrome will be the perfect addition to the moulds and line.  

 

Haha glad to meet another "as few repaints as possible" collector. My only exceptions are Beast related TFs, Wreckers, Starecreams, & Hot Rods.  

If Takara does it, it'd give me an excuse to sell the "classics" one offered in this set. And it'd save me the money on buying the inevitable Xovergen upgrade, too.

FYI BTW I think this figure looks freakin' fantastic. But I still need this mold in Diaclone Blue and Toxitron colors. Any chance one of those will pop up in a souvineer set?

It definitely looks good, and I dig the red windows, but I'm always disappointed with how KO's feel. And of course we shouldn't support knockoffs and we should always buy official Hasbro product, right? Right!

 

Several people have actually purchased said knock off. I suspect it's high quality, but I don't know.
